I can link any number of articles and editorials full of facts and similarities, but I honestly believe that would be a waste of my time.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

I guess it's obvious why Trump hates Trudeau so much, it's because they're so much alike.

I’m at the point where it’s “do your own homework”, as I firmly believe everything I present will be met with a “taken out of context” or “you read that in (left leaning publication)?”.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

So while I go off to research ties and similarities between Poilievre and Trump, will you contemplate Trump and Trudeau’s backgrounds and personality types?
Fucking absurd if you ask me."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

Doing my homework I came across some good food for thought for those firmly in the Poilievre-is-Trump camp.

https://nationalpost.com/opinion/jesse-kline-fords-transition-from-trump-light-to-the-anti-trumpThat being said, I honestly don’t recall the Ford/Trump comparison in terms of populism or rhetoric, I more recall it in terms of just outright lying and buffoonery.I kind of have to laugh, though, at the insinuations of “the left tried to brand…” like they are the only ones who do it. You have been trying to brand JT as a dictator/trump like, and the only ones who believe that are you, far right loons, and a few bouncy castle/truck operators. All politicians attempt to brand their opponents as something.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0 -

I mean, I think many of us agree that Trudeau wasn't a great leader and left the country in worse shape than he inherited it. So much so, that it forced his hand and he had to step down due to his overwhelming unpopularity. Even then, they chose party before country to prorogue and have a leadership contest, while we're being treated hositally by our neighboring nation. That being said, Trudeau is on the way out. I'm not sure at this point how much it matters. We got frustrated, and he stepped down. At least we have the option to choose new leadership, something i'm not sure the U.S. will get again.0

Silver-spoon man-child who’s never learned personal responsibility and accountability. Extreme narcissist with a messiah complex. Dismissive of any that disagree and makes claims of fake news."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

I always figured JT was doing that because he was thinking about relations with China, in terms of diplomacy. I think he knew as well as anyone that the results of the election weren't being debated. He's not delusional. He just didn't want to upset the Chinese pear cart... and that definitely bothered me, as someone who thinks China should actually be sanctioned.

I heard that ad nauseum about Obama too. To some extent it’s probably true. Imagine you keep winning popularity contests, to
the tune of millions of people; one of the nation’s most respected musicians tells the world at his final ever concert that he’s the guy to fix the nation. Anyone might start believing their own hype at that level. I still find him quite humble, to be honest with you.A lot of the shit he calls into question is often bias nonsense that he has every right to criticize as he does. I don’t recall him calling critical pieces by legit news sources as misinformation. Only far right rubbish who’s only intent is to smear. So much of your description is subjective, and I only hear stuff like that from his harshest critics/opponents. Nearly every person that’s met trump, on the other hand, knows this about him.Trump is a boorish bully that just shouts at people who disagree with him. Makes fun of the downtrodden to get dopamine hits from his dope and mean crowd. JT speaks softly and intently to Canadians (remember the daily reassurances during covid? The guy comforted a nation in crisis). That couldn’t be a more stark difference.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0 -

Yes, I will absolutely agree Trudeau is an actor, far better than I have ever given him credit to have fooled so many so completely. You believe he actually feels empathy, I think he’s an actor. And I do remember his patronizing daily bullshit sessions during covid. And when he called an election when it was supposedly still raging (telling me the crisis was clearly over), then decided to play tough guy with some rowdy but peaceful protesters. All that really helped unite the country, didn’t it? But you think he saved the country, fine."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

“He admitted he had asked Wilson-Raybould to revisit her decision on the file, and whether she would be open to such a review. Trudeau claimed she was willing to do so, contradicting her testimony. He also said he wished Wilson-Raybould had told him that she felt contacts from his officials amounted to inappropriate pressure.
Trudeau has also acknowledged that during his Sept. 17 meeting with Wilson-Raybould, he pointed out that he was the MP for Papineau, a riding in Quebec — where SNC-Lavalin is based — but denied he raised that point for partisan interests.”
Before I even got to the next paragraph, my first thought was “he’s just trying to save thousands of Canadian jobs”. One could argue he only cares about those jobs politically; I won’t dispute that. But what do you think he’s (or anyone in that position) going to say when it’s a subjective review and ruling. It’s not like finding fingerprints at the scene of a crime.
Your standards for him are and have always been absurdly high for a head of state.
And I suppose this little tidbit isn’t convenient to your narrative:
“He also said while he disagrees with some of Dion's findings, and that he doesn't believe he has anything to apologize for, he takes responsibility "for the mistakes that I made." “
