and my individuals freedoms are more important to me than protecting you because your afraid…go to therapist or wear an n95 mask I don’t care anymore…I worked in ya greenhouse with 800 people coming and going 6 days a week…no masking no social distancing … it was like that for the first 7 months of the nonsense…
most of the pro lockdown folks are working from home…
Why aren’t you down at the Ambassador bridge with your family, lying on the road like it’s Tienneman Square? Since you support something, shouldn’t you be willing to put your life down for it? Don’t talk about, be about it. Arm yourself and get in there. Isn’t that what you said the Ukraine thread?
gee a communist flag. Can you imagine that after two years of government overreach you want more lockdowns…some people are just dumb.
C'mon..... Kenney's negligence throughout the pandemic actually makes Dofo in Ontario look like the lesser of two evils. His decision to open up Alberta last summer - operating like the pandemic was over - led to the deaths of hundreds of people and essentailly collapsed the health care system as people died to due lack of available beds in Edmonton.
No one wants lockdowns. The thing that the PPC party, and far right conservatives, and their supporters are deaf to is that had our 'leaders' listened to epidemiologists from the jump, we'd all be in a much healthier less divisive position than the one we find ourselves in now.
Democracies are better than other alternatives. However, when we pick municipal, provincial, and federal leaders like they're "home coming kings and queens than we shouldn't be shocked when these people aren't very smart, lack empathy, and don't really know what it means to work in the best interests of the public good. Heck, a number of them don't know what it means to hold what many of us would consider to be a real job. Please see the attached video about good ol' Pierre. This guy thought years ago it was time that First Nations Peope should start learning the meaning of hard work! Are there good politicians around? - yes, but they seem to be the exception and not the norm nowadays.
Ultimately, big business trumps public health in the twenty-first century and that's disappointing. For the hundreds of thousands of people that have had lost their jobs during the pandemic our governments should be supporting these people.
It's also hard to see the connection between these white (mostly male), middle aged "free-dumb" protestors' claims of oppression and tyranny in Canada as they roll around in their $50,000 pickup trucks, and can afford to take weeks off from work. I'd identify myself as white, and middle aged, and it's a clear historical privilege to learn about institutional racism in this country instead of experiencing it.
These "free-dum" protestors should have setup their nonsense on the huge parliamentary hill, but instead they've chosen to negatively impact the lives of working class people in some cases for weeks.
How about we not give credence to these protestors' incessant use of the term "lockdown"? No one in Canada is locked down, and no one has been. It's inflammatory language that makes the situation seem worse than it actually is.
my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf
In Victoria we are only getting convoy protestors on Saturdays, thank FSM.
The first Saturday it was estimated there were about 5,000 protestors. Last weekend the estimate was about 1,500, and yesterday it was estimated to be "hundreds". Seems like fewer and fewer people are interested in continuing the protest.

I had to laugh at a recent post by a pro-convoy poster saying "literally dozens of people are joining this protest". ooooohhhh....DOZENS. that's YUUUUUUUGE.

in my experience the answer is easy. cowards talk tough but when the shit hits the fan they would rather cheerlead out of a sense of self preservation. the loudest people, people like trump, need to put some skin in the game.

Numbers of counter protestors grow as Ottawa residents grow increasingly fed up that a minority is holding the city hostage. Counterprotestors blockaded a road to prevent more trucks from entering the city core in addition to protesting elsewhere.

The discriminatory vaxx pass becomes voluntary after February 17th in Ontario...glad to say I did not ever show proof to any business…still not good enough butterball. All mandates need to end today…protest should continue until butterball is out of office in June…
but hey you can send your kid in to be boosted with a vaccine that supposedly had a 90-95 percent efficacy to it MAY prevent serious illness
What do people expect from a crack dealer…except he was also smoking crack with his brother as well. And mr blackface is a great example of why you should limit drug use until your brain is fully developed…both as dumb as dog shit…both born with silver spoons firmly wedged where the sun don’t shine…

Weren't you the guy telling me to get my kids vaxxed? Also if you have never had to show proof of vaccination in the last year you must of lived an exciting year man.

he's the biggest flip flopper on the forum. this isn't a surprise. and he won't answer you either. he's just a troll that posts twitter feeds and nothing else.
So we’re setting new standards by which all future protests will be treated, instead of treating this group as we have others in the past.
There was a good column in the National Post that pointed out many of us (myself included) have essentially reversed our positions when it comes to how to handle protests. Many who wanted dialogue and negotiation with the railroad blockades now want aggressive policing of the current group. I was simply judging this group by the standards previously established.

Finally, let's deal with these clowns.
