calling PJ an opening band literally just made me cringe. Unless its a festival where every big act plays 8-10 songs, NO!

Especially for GNR. Axl's a fuckin toolbag.

So are there any thoughts that this Eddie Vedder headlining festival appearance could mean that there are some west coast dates coming? Or just some solo dates? Or just a one of festival appearance?

I would assume some EV solo dates are coming in 2016...

would love a new album before I went to see him again though

I kinda doubt it, but we'll see if the Outside Lands announcement has any surprises in store tomorrow.

Kinda surprised on the solo announcement, which to me means a mini solo tour for him around that time

Could they not afford the whole band and Ed volunteered for the festival? Or did the band not want to do it...hmmmmmm

My guess is that this festival is being curated by a surfer friend

There won't be any Pearl Jam surprises because OSL is the same weekend as Fenway. Radiohead and LCD Soundsystem are all but confirmed.

Pemberton lineup is released for July 16 weekend at 7am Pacific. Outside chance of PJ and Cornell on the same bill. Looks like Kanye and Radiohead are the likely headliners.

Lineup is pretty flat other than PJ. I hope they do more dates. No LCD Soundsystem, no Radiohead, no RHCP.

West coast SHOW. I'm not sure this indicates a West coast TOUR in July. But we'll see.

Is interesting that this contains no language indicating this to be the final concert announcement of 2016.

"Pearl Jam will headline the 2016 Pemberton Music Festival July 14-17 in Pemberton, BC. 4-day passes go on sale Friday April 8th at 10 A.M. Pacific here.

Check the official festival site for line-up, schedule and more information.

I think they weren't ready to announce a full tour when we got east coast dates..they let all the popular fests and venues fill up.. Now they are just filling in gaps at random venues..which is fine by me. I expect many more dates

Rubbish. I cant wait to see PJ open for a reunited Pink Floyd (ROGER too) show. And they should play the show in occupied territory at Roger and Eddie's request. lol

No reason whatsoever for PJ to open for another band.

So what kind of timeline do they have now for possible dates? Between Ride and Pemby they have a full week off in the NW that they could do something. And then after Pemby they have pretty much 3 weeks before heading out for the Boston show. Could we see some dates in there?

I think Jeff said in an interview that there may be one more show announced this year. My guess is this is it for this year.

Or...they can buzz in for the day/weekend, play the show, fly home afterwards, resume time off. Even as the headliner at a festival they're likely using house lights/stage/PA. Far less labor-intensive than a headlining tour or Wrigley/Fenway.
Is this where the show list goes?

    11-26-91 / 8-2-92 / 3-15-94 / 7-9-95 / 7-11-95 / 8-29-98 / 9-1-00 / 10-25-03

     4-28-16 / 4-29-16 / 8-20-16 / 8-22-16 / 8-10-18 / 8-18-18 / 8-20-18

My guess is that it's Guns n Roses.

    But, you never know.

I thought that too but they cancelled the one date and removed St. Louis...it was the 25th anniversary riot show...I cant see Busch Stadium taking on that responsibility, but maybe that's why that date was cancelled
