Just imagine the lines at the shop and after market prices for the four Solider Field posters. I'm calling it now... one of the posters will have a Blues Brothers or Ferris Bueller Chicago theme poster and it will be going for $300.00 plus on Ebay minutes after they go on sale.

Now those would be worth waiting in line for.

Maybe some posters with Chicago sports teams on it... (Cubs, Hawks, Bears....)

If it's Soldier Field there would have to be a Bears themed one, or at least one with a bear of some sort.

Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.
  • How did the Soldier Field rumor get started again? Losing track here. Didn't Dimitri himself say they were playing Wrigley? I could be remembering it incorrectly. That would be crazy if they played both. Anyway, as long as I see PJ in Chicago I'm a happy girl.

Rumor got started by a guy on Twitter who looked some what reliable from the amount of followers and name he had saying that he heard they were

When it comes to this tour announcement I see both sides of the story.

The fans are and have been really anxious to at least hear something from 10c since the dates supposedly "leaked" and now festivals and stadium shows have been rumored. Especially for people who have jobs and need to tell their work about it ahead of time. That's totally understandable.

And from the 10 Club's standpoint they can't tell us anything yet until t's have been crossed and i's have been dotted. Also they try not to announce the dates too early or too late according to the first show. That's also totally understandable as well.

I may have just made really obvious statements but those are the facts. It's really gotta suck for those who have to pick off days way ahead of time. But early to mid January seems like the time they'll be announced.

Sometimes obvious statements and facts are exactly what we need in this thread. :)

Just adding to this massive thread, my first post actually.

I can't wait to see PJ for my first time - one way or another, I'm checking that off the list in 2016!

If you have the time and the money, you should try to take a week and follow the band on a tour to see 3-4 shows in a row. Might as well jump into the deep end of the pool now as who knows how many tours they'll have left. Even if you travel alone you'll meet a bunch of fans at the pre-parties, and see some new places.

I see you are from Kitchener. That show was amazing in 2005.

Although assumed, it is far from a given that they will release tour dates in Jan. We may only get Bonnarroo and/or Jazz Fest dates in the coming weeks.

Actually Pearl Jam is releasing tour dates in the first part of the year. But luckily January belongs to that part of the year ;)

  • I think the dates come out the first week of January or we are waiting until at least February. I see them announcing the tour but having the lottery reminder in the newsletter

I agree with this. Bonaroo 2008, Outside Lands and ACL 2009, Jazzfest 2010, Voodoo Fest 2013 and ACL 2014 were all announced separate from the rest of the tour.

If the April/May dates are still on, I think we get those in January. If the tour is now around Bonaroo, I think we get Bonaroo confirmation in January and the rest of the dates six weeks later.

Yeah, didn't Kelly say they we'll get SOME dates in the first part of the year? I know Jazz Fest usually announces in early/mid January. Doesn't Bonnaroo announce in late February?

Bonnaroo used to be in mid Feb, right around the time of the Grammy's. But last year, it was announced around the 2nd week of January, as was Gov Ball. Coachella almost always announces festivals first, mainly because the big acts have it in their contracts that they cannot announce another festival before the Coachella lineup is put out. And since there is so much competition now on the festival circuit, promoters are announcing their lineups sooner then ever.
