    scratch that, I defended my mechanic when he got sued in s. claims. That was less than a month ago, first time doin defense work in 17 years.

    I have nothing to really add, but my sister does criminal defense...drugs and guns. Those two things aren't going anywhere. It's a hustle but she makes bank.

    Judging from her record as well as her most prominent advisers and campaign surrogates, Mrs. Clinton proposes to pursue a somewhat more militaristic version of the policies that have brought us where we are in the world. She would issue an even larger blank check to Israel, step up the effort to overthrow the Assad government, treat Russia as a military problem rather than a factor in the European balance to be managed, and try to keep China down in East Asia and internationally. What would she do differently in Afghanistan or Iraq to replace current policies, which are in advanced stages of failure? What would she do differently about North Korea, Iran, or Turkey? We don’t know.

    But there is no evidence that she regards diplomacy as anything other than a supplement to the threat or use of force against foreign nations that do not subscribe to the American agenda. She seems, in effect, to assume that current alliances and relationships are self-sustaining and that international interactions can therefore be dealt with transactionally in accordance with the desires of our military-industrial-congressional complex, without concern for the impact this will have on the underlying relationships that facilitate our policies and leverage our power.

    In this, she perpetuates the hubris and complacent assumption of omnipotence that are the essence of American exceptionalism and the defining characteristic of the Washington bubble. Meanwhile, her flip-flop on TPP [the Trans–Pacific Partnership], quite aside from gutting the non-military element of the “pivot to Asia” she advocated, leaves her without a coherent policy on foreign trade and investment. It is hardly surprising that, while those with vested interests in current policies find her stands in the main reassuring—or assume she will expediently adjust her views if elected—few find them inspiring.

    The thing about Clinton is that she does have a very extensive record on foreign policy which includes a long list of misjudgments that encourages very little confidence in her ability to judge correctly what is and is not feasible, or to ask the key question in foreign policy, which is always, “And then what?”

    Really? I'll cut to the punch line for you:

    Pence said that State Department officials steered Haiti relief contracts to friends of the Clintons. That charge rests on a news report based on emails between the State Department and the Clinton Foundation.

    Those emails show only that well-connected people saw their offers of help put on a fast track. Neither the emails nor a search of government contract databases show that the government gave contracts to any of those people or their firms to help in Haiti.

    The Clinton Foundation used a contractor in Haiti to build “hurricane-proof” shelters who is now being sued for giving the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) trailers that were laced with formaldehyde and sickened Hurricane Katrina victims in the U.S. and Haitian students. The Clintons also failed to deliver on promises to revise the aid process, in which money that was supposed to aid Haiti following the 2010 earthquake went to U.S. non-profits and charities.

    No worries, all proceeds from the Lincoln room rentals will go directly to Haiti asbestos remediation. This time they will get it right.

    If you Google Clinton's Haiti, you will find that the entire relief effort was a complete disaster, as usual. The Clinton's didn't help, they tried but failed miserably, asb usual. Unfortunately their isn't a angielist for global relief efforts.

Now I agree this is a scandal. I'm sure it's the first time in history anyone has hired a bad contractor, so okay I got that. And then they are accused of funneling money to non-profits and charities too? Say it isn't so... say the CF isn't giving money to...to...charities?? And non-profits? Holy shit!

    How about I just look and see that Mike Pence is lying about it. And the info you just provided directly contradicts that talking point that the CF is a criminal enterprise, considering the donations and work they are doing. If you are trying to convince me that they don't get it right 100% of the time, consider the job done. Guess what? No charity does. No business does. No person does. But that hardly indicts HRC considering I seriously doubt she has ever made the day to day operations and oversight decisions related to running the Foundation.

    again, I call bullshit. I see this crap from both sides. you just happen to have more liberals on this site, so it is your perception that it happens more, but relatively speaking, it doesn't. I've been called more names by the right that have gone unnoticed by the mods than I care to remember.
