Just got in line @ 12 noon. There are about 30 people ahead of me waiting to get into the store.

Some girl just came up to me and asked if Ed was in there....

LOVE the Pendleton. The apple design t-shirt is really cool too. I don't get in until afternoon Friday, hopefully it isn't an absolute mad house then and I can snag just the things I want.

Someone just posted on one of the FB groups that all men's shirts in L and hats sold out for the day in 23 minutes...I assume they'd get more in stock later in the day, but that sounds pretty nuts!

Transformers is a terrible poster IMO (and I usually like Ames' work). The other two are forgettable. The most decent one that catches the even is the Pendleton poster which I would call an above average print.

With that said, all these will be inflated due to the NYC hype.

  • I'd be more than willing to pay for someone's own poster or shirt if they can help acquire the Pendelton skyline poster for me. I'll cover any extra costs or shipping obviously. Seriously.

Good eats are aplenty, but here are some of my go-tos:
Nyonya (Malaysian, cash only): Grand Street between Mott & Mulberry
Osteria Morini (Italian, the Garganelli is to die for): Lafayette between Spring & Broome
Greecologies (Greek Yogurt/Cafe - yes a whole store dedicated to yogurt but they have an awesome outdoor seating area): Broome between Mott & Mulberry
Happy Bones (coffee, limited seating): My favourite coffee in that hood. Broome between Cleveland Place & Mulberry

    I'm sure others have their go-tos :)

Also, Balthazar, classic NYC. I don't go there often but have always enjoyed it. It's always crowded though.

Why don't people post links or screengrabs to the FB group? A lot of people saying stuff without attribution makes it hard to decide if I should go down there soon on my lunch break.

It's bizarre. Total and compete miss. He must have submitted the wrong image and they were just like, "fuck it", people will buy it.
