You think the PA will send the Palestinian Air Force to bomb Israel? Or will they march the Palestinian army into Israel's borders?

FYI- I'm not sure if you're aware but the US and is allies have been bombing Muslims for 15 straight years.

It is a multi religious zone and that doesn’t change. It is simply a recognition of reality which is what that part of the world needs. “All out war” has been the status quo since Israel’s founding in 1948 so the idea that this decision will trigger anything is simply ridiculous. The same entities that wanted to see the destruction of Israel before this decision want to see the destruction of Israel after this decision. They can use it as an excuse if they like but who cares...their rejectionist platform is well known and enough is enough.

On a personal note I am pretty happy to be seeing PJ in Prague come July...

dont see the embassy move happening.  Just lip service to aspirations in Israel/Palestine.  Like the dems before they left office.
yes it serves to make the natives restless and as an excuse to attack if violence results...but it also keeps things ‘controversial ‘ and ‘complicated’, while the status quo of land theft and lawn mowing in gaza continues with full US govt support.

In a statement on its Foreign Ministry’s web site, it said, “The Czech Republic currently, before the peace between Israel and Palestine is signed, recognizes Jerusalem to be in fact the capital of Israel in the borders of the demarcation line from 1967.”

“The Czech Republic together with other EU member states, following the EU Foreign Affaires Council Conclusions, considers Jerusalem to be future capital of both states, meaning the State of Israel and the future State of Palestine.”

In so doing, it took an unusual step of breaking with EU member states who hold Jerusalem should not recognized as Israel’s capital until a final status agreement is reached.

But unlike the US, the Czech Foreign Ministry also said that it would only consider relocating its embassy based on results of negotiations.

so yes, back to 67 lines, capital of both states and no moving UNTIL negotiations are finished to reflect the 2 state solution.

all speeches in front of AIPAC, Arkansas Bill, Ws and Obama. I wonder why the last 4 presidents since 1992 (maybe even before that) all pledge Jerusalem to AIPAC?

all speeches in front of AIPAC, Arkansas Bill, Ws and Obama. I wonder why the last 4 presidents since 1992 (maybe even before that) all pledge Jerusalem to AIPAC?

Are we forgetting that such a move was conditional on compromises with the Palestinians?

Now it's simply been done unilaterally, without concessions from the Palestinians.  In fact, served to inflame the region even.

It's almost as though you have no concept of perspective or context.  With a short-term memory and tunnel vision to boot.
  • Or that s/he voted Trump and owns this shit show but somehow is just a hurt Bernie Bro. I find it laughable. Actually, quite entertaining.

The Professor re-educating and misrepresenting? You don't say?
whatever HIS motive is , re-enforces the lesson to me to utilize critical thought with everything.
What did I misrepresent? Did I say they were moving the embassy? No I did not. I said they recognized Jerusalem as the capital and posted the link. It is not where an embassy is located that is critical...it is the recognition that the Jerusalem is the historical capital of Israel which is critical. It is that reality that rejectionists have trouble coping with. It is that reality which bursts the narrative. I am glad you have accepted the reality of Jerusalem being the Israeli capital though and are now only concerned with embassy location.

I accept they claim Jerusalem as their capital. I dont accept it as a foregone conclusion as a starting point in negotiations.

Palestinians have an equal claim that in fairness should be recognised as well. only difference is Palestinians claim East Jerusalm as their capital. not the entire city.
