    I'm not sure about collective punishment as you describe it but there is no peace process right now. Oslo has been declared dead by Abbas. Another intifada has been chosen and therefore the number of Palestinian casualties will unfortunately rise. By all means you and Halifax should encourage the resistance from your comfortable homes but don't expect this to reduce the number of lives lost.
