Other than Speedy, you men take this shit way too seriously. It's a friggin' job.
Is that all? It's not someones livelihood, source of health insurance, or proof they don't leach off of the government. Fuck it, she's hot. We'll keep her around.
I have to laugh because, really, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I only bring all this up because one or two of you did talk about how this reporter is "hot". My point is that whether she is or isn't "hot" has nothing to do with what the issue is here. Personally, I find her far more irritating than attractive. But whether pretty, hot, gorgeous, average, ugly, or whatever, so what? It's the reporters actions that count, not whether she is cute or ugly or whatever. And to me her actions speak volumes.
And, am I mistaken? Some here have mentioned she was fired but the OP's link merely stated she was suspended. If that's true, I'd say she's luck to still have a job.

And by the way, I find it interesting (that's putting it mildly) that some of you refer to another person here as "bi-polar" and "out of your mind". You don't know that.
Damn this place pisses me off sometimes.

Her looks didn't even occur to me until you all mentioned it. Makes no difference. It's just the behaviour. If the tow truck driver was acting the same way then she should be fired as well. I just didn't hear any of what she said.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
Has she made any official apologize ? What made her so angry saying those nasty things ? One can't judge someone before knowing the whole story but what she said tells a whole lot about her and the way she thinks.
First of all it's not right how she spoke to the attendant.
Secondly, she made her apology and let's not act like people aren't entitled to a "bad day." No one on this board hasn't said things they don't regret...and if you say you haven't, you're most likely lying...lol.
Lastly, no one knows how she was spoken to because the Tow Company has conveniently "sold" only part of the video. People are labeling McHenry as a spoiled, stuck up bitch yet, no one knows how she was spoken to. Go online and read the reviews of the tow company...McHenry isn't the first to have a run in like this and do your self a favor, go back before the 18th of April and read those reviews...from the reviews, the attendants aren't the most pleasant people and in fact seem to have a little bit of a racket going attempting to steal peoples credit card numbers, double charge people $135 by saying that some cards don't work...
Let's not act like McHenry is speaking towards this person "unprevoked"...when we don't know the whole story...
The fact that she got suspended for that...lol...just shows the pussification of this country continues...people calling for her to be fired...LMAO. Stupid.

You bring this on yourself, guys. You all respond to posts I make with these personal attacks, and then 30 here thinks that me bringing up the attacks is an attack in itself? God, this is ridiculous. Why can't you all just debate without getting defensive and personal??? And I didn't attack hedonist, I point blanked asked her questions. Not the same.
I wonder if those supporting this chick would do the same if she had the looks of a horse.
I think horses are much more beautiful than her and behave much better too.
Hard to believe 4 pages was spent on this reporter when she should just shut her mouth and take her suspension happily.

Well, this is one way to look at things I guess.
You suggest some are defending her because she's pretty or that others have issues... yet become indignant imploring for mod help when someone says you're out of your mind.
These seem the same to me. Whatever. Have a nice day.

Here is my 2 cents...Not that you want to hear it.
Ms. Espn went in to the towing company and had a "moment." Her behavior was rude, obnoxious, and uncalled for. No doubt. Once the towing company realized that she is indeed some sort of celebrity, they decided to go public with the video. That's the world we live in now. Cameras everywhere, and everyone's personal business, is now out there for the world to see or hear. That's fine and dandy, as long as the towing company is prepared for their business to now be exploited for the world to see. Right? Only fair. Now the world knows that this company is graded F by the business bureau, has multiple lawsuits pending, has been accused of predatory practices, etc.
Was the towing company prepared for this backlash? Did they not realize releasing this tape would maybe cause them a few headaches? My belief is the towing company issued the statement asking for no punishment be handed out to Ms. Espn for one reason, and only one reason. They are now trying to make themselves look better in some way, maybe look like they are taking the high road, in hope that this story will soon disappear.
And as far as Ms. Espn being fired over this matter? If this were to happen I would think its total nonsense. This was a conversation, although a despicable act on her part, that should have remained private. This type of behavior is going on right NOW in some towing companies office. Somebody somewhere is giving a towing company a piece of their mind. Its the nature of the towing industry? People are angry, their car has been towed, they are pissed, they are saying things they shouldn't. Its the heat of the moment. Yet their behavior wont be televised for the world to see.
Now as far as our behavior being put out their on the world wide internet? Its the world we live in. I have seen the EXACT same people here who are calling for Ms. ESPN to be fired, come on this very board and discuss their drug habits, their alcohol habits, their rude obnoxious behavior towards family members. How would these same people like their place of employment to read some of these comments? They wouldn't! Yet they come here knowing they cant vent, without having to worry. Though I am sure they realize their words are out here, on the world wide internet, for everyone to read.
I guess now I am just rambling. I need some more coffee.
Take me piece by piece..... Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

Bingo. If you think this is private, go to Google and type your screen name in and hit enter. Hopefully you use this screen name just for a pearl jam website and not something less desireable. Exercise in humility.

We don't just fire people to teach them a lesson because, as one person said, 'it's just a job, sheesh'. Just a job? Just a job?? Wish I could think of my household's bloodline so flippantly.

What does "a better perspective" have to do with personally attacking someone by calling them "bi-polar" and "out of your mind", Thirty?
That's what pisses me off about this place: unwarranted (not to mention inaccurate) personal attacks.
And why do you guys keep talking like she was fired? "Suspended" is not losing one's job.

Speedy did a good job speaking to a portion of this post.
What you say is fair enough, however, don't be too selective with your criticism of the way people operate here. At least try to look at what prompted such responses before dismissing them as 'unwarranted'.
You have no excuse whatsoever to get personal, none of you, even the piggy backer there. :wave
How ironic -- you guys are just showing how you can be just like Britt McHenry. All over a stupid thread about her rude and nasty self and whether she should keep her job or not. Congrats.
No, because she proved it herself on camera. All of you said what a bitch she is for doing that to another person yet you have no problem attacking me… on a consistent basis.
I don't hate you guys, but I do wonder why you're all so defensive and take things like this story and my observations and opinions so personally.

That makes no sense. You can personally attack her because she is a semi celebrity but that doesn't make you judgemental at all? I'm not defending this broads actions. I'm saying she shouldn't be fired over what she said. I don't know if you work or not, but to the vast majority of us who do work, being fired IS a big deal. It's not just a job. But you are so quick to decide the fate of somebody that you don't know based on a one sided argument you saw. Then accuse some of us of only defending her because she's not ugly.

If she was working and acted like this... fire her. She acted poorly on her own time. She's entitled to her own time.
Hugh's comment was right on the nail head: this girl's looks have the 'fired up crew' (which isn't very many by the way)... fired up.
And, am I mistaken? Some here have mentioned she was fired but the OP's link merely stated she was suspended. If that's true, I'd say she's luck to still have a job.
