Could the ESPN reporter handled this better? Of course.
But it only took me 5 minutes to find the 100's of complaints against this towing company. I wasn't the least bit surprised.
Obviously I am not a big fan of the towing industry. HaTake me piece by piece.....

One of the minor points he makes in it is, he left million dollar deals on the table because the people he was working with treated the 'help' like shit. I have no patience for people like this, they are worthless piles of shit.0 -
Didn't ESPN suspend a reporter for defending evolutionism against a creationist working there?Last-12-Exit said:
I disagree. Espn has a history of suspending reporters and tv personalities. That is pointed out in the article cited by the OP. 3 or 4 in the past 12 months. All male. Let's be honest here, what did she do? She was a bitch. Last time I checked, that isn't illegal. It's just bad publicity. So this woman will get a week without pay. Do you think she should be fired? Seems a bit excessive.Dirtie_Frank said:Last 12 The correlation is both women will basically get off with a slap on the wrist. If it was a man that berated someone they would have been fired and if a man had a sex party with 16-18 years old he would be called a pedophile. How is that equal treatment?
I've read the article you've posted and that woman lost custody of her children. Is there any other worse punishment you could dole out to a woman? I would say that is worse than being on any sex registry, which is what I'm assuming you would like to see.
And something I learned long ago is that when you work for a company and go out in public, you still represent that company, especially being a public figure such as a reporter. You're never off the clock. So yeah, she gives the company a nasty image from this performance of hers. I say fire her.

Some of you act like that people aren't allowed to have a bad day, or moment. Fire them! Ruin their lives over what? Saying someone is trashy? I fully understand you represent your company off the clock. The company I work for is very well known in this area. I would hope that if I had a temporary lapse of judgment and ended up on you tube, they wouldn't fire me over it. Especially if I didn't even break the law.backseatLover12 said:

When you are a public figure, you always represent your company even when you're off the clock. Whenever people see her reporting again will think of her asshole behavior. One time is one time too many to most bosses in the public eye.0 -

But tge shit she said, in my opinion, was not simply the result of a bad moment or day. Tye shit she said came from a place of entitlement and downright brattiness. Kt is part of what is wrong with humanity and how our children behave (shaming others for their weight, looks, or social economic class). I don't give a shit who she is (i didnt actually know until this very thread), what she did deserves public shaming. I dont care if she loses her job, but if I were her bosses, i certainly would can her ass. She single handedly alienated a massive portion of their viewership, and in the process ruining their brand. Possibly losing major sponsors if they dont act quickly.Last-12-Exit said:

Its part of being in the public eye. You represent a brand and a huge investment of money for a lot of people. People like her know this, but she chose to act like a twat anyway because she obviously thinks she is above reproach. That type of baggage is not something most companies would keep their wagon hitched to.

Oh good, Last Exit! I get what you mean about how we all make mistakes but her condescending attitude just seemed way too blatant.
bsL, yes, seriously, a TV news personality probably wants to be a little more careful than this woman was.

she was even warned. This is taped and I will release it! She didn't care. She probably does this a lot and I bet more stories will leak.
If I was a big wig at ESPN I would fire her and if I was an athlete I would never grant her an interview0 -

However, according to a source, the Advanced Towing employee was "rude, dismissive and taunting," and the tape released is "highly edited" to show only McHenry in an unflattering light. For example, her dig to "lose some weight, baby girl" was allegedly a response to the employee telling her to "fix your roots."
Again I want to see how this all turns out.
I see the towing company put out a statement asking that Ms. ESPN NOT be punished in any way.

The towing co. may want her to keep her job but there are plenty that want to see her fired. Like I said before, from now on, if she keeps her job, we will see her interviewing yet many people will just remember that spoiled and nasty behavior. She's better off to take a loss and regroup.

So nobody other than me and speedy thinks this woman was baited at all? Is she supposed to just sit there and take a woman talking shit to her? Espn isn't going to fire her. And athletes won't boycott interviews with her. I'm sure they have the whole story.0

Being bated only reflects on the person doing the baiting; how you respond is what reflects on you. It's certainly possible to stand up for yourself without making tacky jabs about weight or where someone works.Last-12-Exit said:So nobody other than me and speedy thinks this woman was baited at all? If her comments were unsolicited and she unloaded on some poor woman behind a counter... she's a douche of the highest order. If she was retrieving her vehicle after being towed... and dealing with comments about her hair... then I'm not inclined to burn her at the stake because she didn't take the high road.

Apparently in BC our Minister of Transportation got a speeding ticket. Some people are calling for him to lose his Cabinet position. The NDP transportation critic claims to be "shocked" that he would be speeding. Really, people?my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -
