I'm soooo glad I went, despite the huge expense of last minute travel.
It wasn't quite long enough to make it to my birthday, but hell, it was a great Birthday present nonetheless!
the first show in a while that I came out of with the same stupid grin as my first one! (not that I didn't enjoy the others...)
Good atmosphere (we were worried it was going to be really rough at first, but it turned out tight but fair...kind of like Reading..less tight obviously). The fact it was on an ice ring was good in the end...would have been as hot as Bologna otherwise!!
Security was somewhere between Barcelona and Italy :rolleyes:... luckily the crowd was less rough..
Great setlist (as good as Marseille..which I missed..though not as many I REALLY wanted to hear...still missing Red Mosquito, Dirty Frank, Glorified G...and RATS, bloody Rats still not played!!!)....the main set was great but the first encore was absolutely wicked, in an emotional way!!
Talking of emotional: thanks Sid for translating...and for being just so enthusiastic..hope we'll see you next year and I get to know you better!
Thanks a million times to Mike for being such a nice guy...we made little name tags as a joke (thanks Melissa for giving us the idea..didn't seem to tickle them as much as we hoped but still)...'Time to Introduce Ourselves' sign...as it was the last day of the bus and so most of the regular's...Mike asked for his...which I threw him and he wore during the main set...before throwing me the shirt it was pinned on

Completely messed up version of Betterman..we went in way too early and it took a while to get back on track..fun though.
Eddie going WAY UP the rafters..Pistoia was child's play in comparaison (but then the wife and kid being in attendance there)..a bit scary though.. after the massive splash in Milan, I'm always worried when he does something like that!
Then he coming down in the crowd on RITFW..Gitta had a big sign asking for a tambo..and he gave it to the guy right next to her!!! finally saw the sign when back on stage..with no tambourine left..she got a pick...and cried endlessly after the show...that promises for Athens!! Was hoping someone would be consoling ME then!! looks like we're going to be crying on each other's shoulder!
Great show, great birthday...so sad everyone is gone :(...Stian, Pin, Rob, Carlos, Randall, etc ... hope to see you very soon, Athens won't be the same without you guys and gals!!!

I haven't seen much Pearl Jam shows, this was my third, but I've seen everything, form BB King through ZZ TOP to Franz Ferdinand.This was best show ever. And I'm not even a die hard Peral Jam fan.

I was SO glad, as a citizen of Croatia, and as a Croat - if you will, to see so many people form all around the world. Scandinavia, New Zealand, Ireland, Britain... USA...
And especially I was happy to see so many ex Yugoslavs at the show. I was in the company of some Bosnians, but I've noticed Serbians to... And I've noticed a Macedonian flag...

The first time I saw Pearl Jam live, after being a fan for so long! I took my younger brother with me and I hope he'll become so addicted to PJ as I am.
That was one show I wished would have never ended! I am still not back to reality ... Ed was so passionate like back in the 90's. RITFW was out of this world! When they hit the stage, the crowd went nuts. Especially people around me were really crazy, so I fell on the floor, but someone behind me put me back on my feet. Thanx for that!
it was just overwhelming... the best concert ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe just a cuple of songs missing such as crazy mary, daughter, garden, faithfull but I'm holdin' to Ed's words: ''See you next year!'' I wouldn't miss it for the world!!! That's my guiding thought for this year...

i think with Firefox browser and some videodownloader plug-in it's possible.

There are NO words to describe guys.
Pearl Jam in MY country playing for the first time. Look at the stlist. OMG. i stil cannot believe last night.
A few highlights, A FEW for now. Unemployable and In Hiding in a row...OMG, Sid crying so hard, i was soooo overwhelmed. Happy to see them and 2 of my fav songs played in a row... :eek:
Then, Porch, Army Reserve, OMG...what to say, what to say. Eddie speaking Croatian. hes awesome btw, like hes been here for ages No, seriously.
Betterman: all of us singing the first verse and more..couldnt believe my eyes, ears.. Seriously
And then...Croatian flag. Guys, it was MY flag, the one I had with me 3 times in the US, at camp, above my bed...all of my friends, croatian fans signed it, had it for the rest of italian shows and then i bought another one so I could have it for Prague and so on...
So the flag he put on the monitors was MINE...OMG!!! I just had my eyes and mouth open trying to say sth..couldnt! haha
the flag ended up on stage in Vienna btw, my friends threw it, and i wasnt sure if hes gonna bring it for Zagreb, soI threw my other flag to Mike after the man himself said its OK to thow it. hehe, and then::::Eddie puts my flag on the stage in the second (i think) encore...
Ok. Thats prolly when I thought I was dreaming. I just hope the stupid sec guy gave it back after it fell off the stage.., he took it with him on the side of the stage somewhere, but at least they got the one Mike has (it says Croatia and you make me SMILE) hehe.
Plus the rest of the setlist...Acoustic set... Come on. All or None. I had a THANK YOU sign and held it up and Mike just said: No, Thank YOU! Oh wow.
Thumbing my way...oh wow. cant even say the words...when they played the acoustic set...THANK YOU PEARL JAM! WE LOVE YOU!!!
Oh yeah, one more thing, till I break (but I WILL post again about this, hehe), Hail HAIL. OMG!!! So happy I got to hear some No Code in ZG and some previous shows!

Speachless.....................well not completely. The whole day was amazing, starting with the 10c que where we met some great people, Lucky Chris and Mel especially.
The show was mind blowing, I nearly passed out at one point and was foolishly contemplating leaving my teasured spot on the barrier. Thank god I didn't coz I got to touch the hand of god. Blessed art though Ed. I haven't washed my hand since!
