Great show. Only my second one ever and it was brilliant. Porch was Intense and Ed climbed the rafters. I saw Education....again :D
Gimme Some Truth was a definite highlight for me, and All or None aswell. The acoustic set was awesome.
At Dublin we didn't hear anything from No Code, Binaural,Riot Act, but last night every album (including Lost Dogs) was represented. Very happy with that.
I have a new found appreciation for Whipping. Never one of my favourite songs, but last night I fell in love with it. In Hiding was real cool too.
RITFW was deadly and Yellow Ledbetter....Great finishing combo.
Eddie threw some wine over the crowd and it got in my eye :D and the guy in front of me got Matt's sweat band.
Mike's guitar was a little too low for mylikeing. I couldn't hear someof the solos, although maybe that was just where I was standing. Met some guy from Arizona in the middle of it which was cool, coz at times I did feel a little lost in the crowd.
    Altogether fucking great night.

    - Thanks to Kilroy for picking up the tickets. Cheers dude :)

    Hey, you're very welcome!
Hopefully, I can pick up the tickets again next year :)
    Nice meeting you.

The show was the best one for me to date. The crowd, although rough at the moments, was great and there was so much energy flowing between the band and the crowd. Maybe I imagine, but it seems to me that Jeff was especially glad to be here, playing in Zagreb. He was often smiling and rockin' out. He was crazy on Blood!!!!

An amazing combo Thin Air - Thumbing - All or None. Just beautifull and for me, the best part of the show, although Porch was also pretty crazy, with Eddie climbing like he's 20.
And Education, In Hiding, Habit, wow!!!!!

Big HELLO to all the people I've met. All PJ fans are the nicest people on earth.
    Keep on rockin'!

hitch you are the guy that asked for Mocvara? cheers :)
Mocvara? what's that? There may have been some other Irish there. Might be mixin me up with something.

  • There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said...

    The concert was amazing!!! :s:s:s:s:s

I'm glad I got a chance to meet other PJ fans from Zagreb, Sarajevo, UK, Serbia... You guys are awesome, I hope I'll see you again sometime soon. Hopefully we won't have to wait forever for the next concert, as I'm sure most of us are hanging on Ed's words 'see you next year'.

Personal favs: crowd intro to Betterman and crowd 'tururututururu' outro to Black, acoustic Thumbing My Way and All Or None (love that song) and of course Ed's Tarzan impersonation :D during Porch

Downside: three huge apes who were moshing in front of me

Got me a copy of that beautiful poster after the show... :D
Just put a bend in the road, I'm growing tired of straight lines...

  • About "See you next year"... when Ed said that, I saw Jeff talking to him in somewhat disbelief, like "Why did you say that?", but Ed was just smiling and I couldn`t really see if he ment it or it was just said in affect... hope he keeps his promise :D

yeah, I thought it was said in affect with the wine effect ... :/ too bad...
  • when will we get the bootleg for zagreb? i cant wait :D
it was amazing. my throat hurts so much i cant talk, my neck and my legs are sore, all worth it however,... i cant believe i heard all those songs.. hail, hail, last exit, education, thin air, elderly woman... and the crowd on better man, black, porch, alive... i was screaming my lungs out!
i think we made the band pretty happy, you could see it on their faces. amazing, amazing.
all or none was a total surprise, ed seemed really torn to sing it, they were all sitting down, and he was holding his head down for awhile, just wanted to get up there and give him a hug...
evenflow was amazing too, a coupla solos, matt also, great great. think they got out the vienna cro flag at that point? or was that during alive?

its all been said i guess, this is a must have. love this band so much!

oh yeah, ed lay down on the stage toward the end of YL (looked like he took his shoes off too haha) and rested on his amp, looked pleased and tired and drunk haha. stone, standing by matt's drumkit was just smiling, and then when ed got up they gave each other a hug / pats on the back as they do, was nice to see.

ah, what to say, what to say....

    :D

    hail hail the lucky ones...

last night we recieved some info. that the venue was gonna be half full and well that kinda threw some of the fans off, but the response turned out to be great.. you'll hear it i'm sure!

Venue was 90% full. Which is, considering the ticket price, great. I'd rather have almost full venue with ecstatic atmosphere, than full packed but regular vibe...

BTV those photos are proffesional... I didn't take them... But, yes, they're great...

Thank God that we finally had a chance to see such a great band in our city.
In fact Pearl Jam is one of the best live bands ever and I have seen many bands live in many different countries/cities (for me only U2 can mach with Pearl Jam).

We had a big expectations and the band did not disappointed us at all. They played many greatest hits as well some rarities. The audience was an amazing, loud and full of emotions. It was one of the best and loudest crowds I ever heard. I am glad that rock music is still alive in my city and it definitely has a many supporters/followers. There were many people from other cities in Croatia and from the neighbouring countries.

I could say that a whole concert was a highlight for me, but people just liked some songs more. One of the strongest performances was Black, full of emotions and a massive singalong. It is definitely of one of the best songs ever. I felt goosebumps and chills during that song and my friends had a similar reactions (as well as with songs like Better Man, Alive, Given To Fly, Jeremy, Severed Hands or many other songs).

Opening with a Severed Hands was really good and audience was jumping and moshing all the time. Corduroy and Hail Hail were so powerful as the next songs.

I need to say that the audience in the stands was singing and jumping all the time and nobody was sitting at all, like I have seen in many other countries in different concerts (even in Italy). It is a rock concert after all and not a play or a movie.

I do not want to describe every song, it would take a many space and time.
People really liked all songs from Ten: Black one of the highlights of the concert, during Even Flow jumping and moshing all around, Jeremy-emotions and singalong, Porch-energy and jumping, Alive massive singalong and as always one of the highlights of any Pearl Jam concert, it is like a anthem of our generations, many people can identified themselves with that song. Alive is probably the best known Pearl Jam song with a great intro and excellent solo and outro. I just can get enough of that song.

There is one song that I particularly wanted to hear live-Given To fly and I did. That is such a great song. Intro is amazing and crescendo as well.

World Wide Suicide was excellent and the audience had a great response.
Thin Air was the best part of an acoustic set/jamming for me and it is strange that the band played that song so rarely.

Rockin¨ In The Free World was a phenomenal cover (Neil Young rules) as always and closing with YellowLed better meant that this extraordinary concert was over.

It was a long set and we were totally satisfied, but I thought that they will play Inside Job, State of Love And Trust, Rearviewmirror or Immortality, but I heard that songs before (except Inside Job), so it was O.K.

Eddie was in a great mood as well as other band members. He spoke really good Croatian.

This is the my 3rd Pearl Jam concert and it was definitely the best! The audience rocked!

I will definitely download this concert.

Thanks for reading my long review.

I am arriving in Zagreb tomorrow to start off my vacation. When I saw Pearl jam was plying there on the 26th, I almost decided to go 2 days sooner...Seeing the playlist now I'm really sorry I didn't.
Luckely I saw them in Arnhem a few weeks ago....

And to all you Zagreb people...Are there some good bars to visit in Zagreb?

    For blues/rock live music, visit:

Route 66 (near University Library, 10-15 minutes walking south from the Main train station) - this is cool place... Bikers-friedly.
Sax (Palmoticeva 22 street, 5-10 minutes walking from the main square Trg Bana Jelacica
Purgeraj (in "Ribnjak" park, 5-10 minutes walking from main square) - but I'm not sure they have a live act this weekend...

There are NO words to describe guys.
Pearl Jam in MY country playing for the first time. Look at the stlist. OMG. i stil cannot believe last night.

A few highlights, A FEW for now. Unemployable and In Hiding in a row...OMG, Sid crying so hard, i was soooo overwhelmed. Happy to see them and 2 of my fav songs played in a row...

Then, Porch, Army Reserve, OMG...what to say, what to say. Eddie speaking Croatian. hes awesome btw, like hes been here for ages :D No, seriously.
Betterman: all of us singing the first verse and more..couldnt believe my eyes, ears.. Seriously

And then...Croatian flag. Guys, it was MY flag, the one I had with me 3 times in the US, at camp, above my bed...all of my friends, croatian fans signed it, had it for the rest of italian shows and then i bought another one so I could have it for Prague and so on...
So the flag he put on the monitors was MINE...OMG!!! I just had my eyes and mouth open trying to say sth..couldnt! haha
the flag ended up on stage in Vienna btw, my friends threw it, and i wasnt sure if hes gonna bring it for Zagreb, soI threw my other flag to Mike after the man himself said its OK to thow it. :D hehe, and then::::Eddie puts my flag on the stage in the second (i think) encore...
Ok. Thats prolly when I thought I was dreaming. I just hope the stupid sec guy gave it back after it fell off the stage.., he took it with him on the side of the stage somewhere, but at least they got the one Mike has (it says Croatia and you make me SMILE) hehe.

Plus the rest of the setlist...Acoustic set... Come on. All or None. I had a THANK YOU sign and held it up and Mike just said: No, Thank YOU! Oh wow. :o
Thumbing my way...oh wow. cant even say the words...when they played the acoustic set...THANK YOU PEARL JAM! WE LOVE YOU!!! :)

Oh yeah, one more thing, till I break (but I WILL post again about this, hehe), Hail HAIL. OMG!!! So happy I got to hear some No Code in ZG and some previous shows!

Talk to you all later, Ill post pics, got some great ones (hey, Mike/Ed front row ;) ).

unfortunately, it didn't end up in my hands.
the security guy gave it to the israeli guy standing next to me, and he was nice enough to let me make a photo of it. in all that excitement, i forgot to translate it to them.
