I dont know man. I think they might have jumped the shark when eddie sang balls in your mouth.
    :)
Fairly certain when they signed with Epic records that they jumped the shark. I've hated them ever since. Man, late fall of 1990 was the best.

How about a PJ Cruise to Alaska. Something tells me Mudhoney would come along. THAT would be cool. Where do I book this?

May I just request that you all stop screwing around with this sarcastic "jumping the shark" nonsense? Every time I see that this thread has multiple new posts I get a little excited. Geesh

WhatYouTaughtMeWhatYouTaughtMe I have no idea what's going on right now! Posts: 4,957

Where did a dumb ass rumor that there would be a Pearl Jam con, like comic con going on? That's even more far fetched than them playing a Canadian tour this year. You guys will buy into anything it seems.

Fyi, a little birdie told me pj would be playing Disney World this fall... Exclusive 10c tickets to stay inside cinderellas castle! Meet and greet with Eddie on Donald ducks toilet! It's true because my friends uncles sister works there. The show will be played inside the Epcot ball and broadcast to every cable box on channel 42. Mark my words!

Did you sign up to come on here and shit on as many threads as possible in a short period of time? Smoke a joint or something...Jesus.

Psyched about the PJ cruise to Alaska that only exists in my head at present. Rock cruises are doing very well. I can see a PJ cruise with other bands, booths for causes the band supports and a certain percentage of the ticket prices going to charity.

Assuming there is a show to go along with the convention, how is it any worse/different than PJ20? Now, I accused that of being a ridiculous money grab (especially since they changed the year of their anniversary and stated the year before it was nice to play Bridge School and keep their 20th "low key"), however it'll be the same thing but with more merch (which people here seem to love).

I've seen conflicting things about this convention. On one hand, we have Demitrios' post here saying it's this year which would make sense in a down year (offset cost of playing Global Citizen and make a ton of money in one shot in a non-touring year). On the other hand, there have been posts here about a big tour for the 25th next year centered around a special event at the Gorge September 2016. I guess if anything is happening this September we would know in the next six weeks.

Next six weeks? That would be knocking on the door of August...just cant buy that. I know they can quickly sell tickets but they need promotion just like every other band. They will coast on cleaning out the warehouse this year it looks like knowing we will buy anything they put out. Looks like 2016 to me..hope im wrong.

Six weeks away is mid-July which is right around when Global Citizen is announced. Keep in mind the 2006 and 2010 spring tours were announced about 7 weeks before they started and the 2009 fall tour was announced two months before it started.

Oh Ryan I was basing that purely on it being a convention without a show. I mean, imagine?

Not sure, but I hear there will be an interactive experience called "The Mercy Trailer Experience". Supposedly it's a can't miss event.

I'd love some EV solo shows but what are all of your thoughts on him touring without a new solo album? Seems to me like he's done his solo shows a lot and would need new songs to tour with. Not that I wouldn't see multiple shows even without a new album.
