On a new album tour, and i may be in the minority here, i want to hear as much of that new album as possible.
Totally. I like seeing how the band plays the new stuff live and hearing the differences from the recording to playing it live. Also it is nice to hear the band tighten up certain songs and jam out on others as the tour goes on.
For example, compare Wrigley LB songs to the Seattle show later that year. On the Seattle LB songs the band sounds great, where at Wrigley...well...Mike sounded great.
Just my opinion of course.
Oh and I can't stand Last Kiss. Can't skip it fast enough when I hear that drum lead in.
Last Kiss, Nothing Man, bunch of others, but those are the "time to go pee" songs during shows.

Have you always hated Black or is it just overplayed? Just wondering. There are several PJ songs that I once liked but cringe for that reason. (Daughter, Elderly Woman, YLB and a few more if I sit & really think about it.)
Jesus you guys are brutal! Blood, Smile, Porch, and Of the Earth!?!??? Someone just needs to throw in I Got Shit and there's pretty much my 5 favorites.
I don't think anyone could possibly put in "I Got Shit" - its one of their best songs!
I am sure someone will mention it...just to be different.
The radio station where I live must think there are only 3 PJ songs & I am sure I don't even mention which ones they are. Recently went out with a girl who said she liked Last Kiss but knew nothing else & she is my age! Then I found out she likes Nickelback

I think Ole' is pretty much hated across the board.
I like the song itself, but the words aren't the best. it's a good driving hard rock beat. it's just the "whatyousayOLE??" part that I think turns any non-spanish person off.
Your songs would be definitely be on my list but I think it's pretty safe to say that these three are not ones that most Pearl Jam fans love. Along with Pilate, these are some of the most frequently bashed songs this forum.
There's a part of me that can understand that someone might be tired of the band hits but I could never say anything bad about all of the "songs" from the band's first three albums.
last kiss, betterman, jeremy, alive , even flow, given to fly, sirens, i know these are staples and need to be played. its like going to every who show i saw and always heard won't get fooled again, baba oreilly and a few others.

Yeah I like it, too, actually. I just don't know why ppl keep mentioning it when the common opinion is that it sucks.
