More police killed in Baton Rouge. At what point is he responsible for what's happening in this country?
This sounds very far fetched to me, Edson, but I know you're a smart guy so I won't jump to conclusions but rather would like to know how/why you came to this conclusion?

Has anyone else noticed that Godfather has been quiet lately especially with what is going on? And on this thread too. Wonder why.
Maybe he's got other stuff going on? Maybe just feels like reading. Maybe...whatever.
Jeesh.

What? If you click on his avatar nothing happens. You can't message or anything etc.
Perhaps chalk it up to a glitch which is par for the course on these boards. PM the mods if you're worried. And honestly, your post up there came across as accusatory vs true concern for the panicky avatar / can't message situation. Apologies if I misconstrued that as snarkiness.

I understand how snarkiness can be thought of in a post. No worries.
Obama just commuted the sentences of 214 people serving federal time, mostly for non-violent drug offenses. Good work, Obama! 69 of them were serving life sentences, which was ridiculous to begin with. Many of them are African Americans who got caught in the ill-advised crack vs. powder cocaine sentencing nonsense that used to exist. That brings Obama's total to 562, and he apparently isn't done yet. I'm always happy when rationality prevails. Non-violent drug offenders should be offered treatment, not thrown in prison for the rest of their lives.

That's awesome. Good for him.

Poor little kid, that's awful. But why have you posted that in this thread? What do you think Obama has to do with this child, good or bad? He seems to be the victim of the civil war in Yemen.... No mention of Obama in that article I don't think.

The civil war in Yemen is more of a proxy war by the US, given that the Saudis are annihilating the country with weaponry primarily provided by the US. Hell, even the planes that drop bombs regularly on Yemeni territory are refuelled and serviced exclusively by the US.

And this starving kid is apparently starving because "Houthi fighters and their allies are blocking the delivery of desperately needed humanitarian supplies". I think it is a real stretch to blame this on Obama specifically.

People who dislike President OBAMA blame everything on him.
– In a recent report, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, Micah Zenko, noted that the United States has dropped an estimated 23,144 bombs in the Muslim-majority countries of Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015. That is over 60 bombs a day!Jan 19, 2016
Heard some great news this morning that I wanted to share. We've made remarkable progress since I took office in the midst of the worst recession the country had seen in decades. Thanks to the grit and determination of the American people, we averted a second Great Depression, created more than 15 million private-sector jobs, and have seen real wages rising at their fastest rate in any business cycle since the 1970s. That's remarkable progress, and today, we have more to report. Last year, across every race and age group, incomes rose and the poverty rate fell. Folks' typical household income rose by $2,800 -- the single biggest one-year increase on record. We lifted 3.5 million people out of poverty -- the largest one-year drop in the poverty rate since 1968. And the pay gap for women shrank to its lowest level ever. All the work we've done is finally paying off in a big way. More work remains to make sure we keep up with this progress in reducing inequality and growing wages for hardworking families. But today, it's worth taking stock of how far we've come together. This morning, I spoke with Jason Furman, who chairs my Council of Economic Advisers, to learn the latest on where our economy stands today.

where did he even get his own information from? household incomes are actually down since he took office but up 5.2% for 2015 which was mainly those over 65, but overall down 7-9% since 2009 depending upon where you look, poverty rate is up and the pay gap is probably the only thing he is right on
and the private sector jobs that were created were government jobs some of which no longer exist anymore due to Obamacare...one of those sites being here in St. Louis that was actually busted for not even being real jobs but an empty hub filled with computers

This one's a little more biased seeing it doesn't mention Reagan's exploding of the deficit due to huge increases in military spending which drove the economy. Obama didn't have such a friendly congress to work with, now did he?
The Obama administration has offered to sell $115bn worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia over its eight years in office, more than any previous US administration, according to a new report.
