i'm pretty sure that's how new zealand got their first female prime minister. jenny "the ship" shipley. first elected prime minister came soon after... the mighty, glorious and always fabulous helen "helen" clark.

i miss her so bad. :(
hahaha love -> helen "helen" clark!

PS DP and Ziggy your avatars both got hotter while i was away.

PPS Poor K-Rudd and his little strings and his little puppetty mouth got nailed real bad - none of us saw that one coming. Would've liked seeing Australia's first female prime minister become so through the choosing of the people, but hey, it's another trivia night answer in the making...

PPPS I own a Thunderbirds DVD Box Set - just putting that out there - phew, that feels better now I've said it...

Julia's first move as PM... weekly PJ shows at Parliament House...I'd even visit Canberra for that! That and the National gallery and the awesome lake and the round and round street plan... actually I might just go to Canberra anyway...

Julias first move is the Carbon Emission Scheme.

I thought the reason we didn't run with that policy is because we will all explode without Carbon outlet?

I don't know about you, but I can only hold a huge fart inside me for about 3 hours.......and once it escapes it's just another tax grab........

I really like this new song ‘Of the Earth’ they played in Dublin – much better than most of the stuff from Backspacer.
Has a good feel to it.

Thought I would like Eddie’s new song, being a huge ITW fan, but I didn’t care for it at all.

Hey has anyone got the xmas single here yet?

when did australia's love affair with ruddles end? i thought you were all "yeah, he's like barack obama, only australian and white"?

well it kinda didn't, he was still in the lead in opinion polls as preferred PM, his party was still in the lead as preferred party, he just got back stabbed by his so called friends and colleagues.

i never really liked the guy anyway. but the way the shit went down in the last 20 hours i feel for the prick.

    This is true.
2 days BEFORE the woman back stabbed him, his polls were favourable. But the numbers were not released until after they back stabbed him on the grounds that he was behind in the Polls.

    Don't ya just love politics?
    ( p.s I liked the guy  )

The Triple J impossible music festival starts today. Pearl Jam made it into the top 20 best live acts.
They are playing Melbourne 95 on Wednesday at 8pm if anyone is interested.

So anyway yesterday I bought two pre-sale tickets to Peter Frampton, Chicago and America at Riverstage in Brisbane on October 30th. Got Silver section (second section back), second row, centre of stage.

(Waits for Fishy to start bagging this show)
