Oh....well then I don't think this will even apply to me. There's little chance I'll even be in the arena more than an hour before they hit the stage. I'm just using GA as a way of getting a nice, comfortable, unobstructed view. I won't be waiting in any lines outside the building to get really, really close. That'd be the day.Hugh Freaking Dillon said:To those asking....the list is simply a way for say 7 people to show up hours before the show. Those 7 people now have those spots in line reserved until the doors open whether they leave the line for hours or minutes or not at all. People on the list are going to the fucking preparty and when they get back to the line, potentially hours later, they are back at their place in line, even though that line now has 200 people who have stood in line longer than any of them have at the front. Sometimes it seems there is a list or there is someone designated to number the hands of those in line as they show up with a sharpie. Its nonsense. You leave the line for anything except the bathroom, you have forfeited your spot. I learned that before fucking kindergarten. Not these people. They are the "real" fans who showed up before everyone else just to go to the bar and relax whole everyone else holds their spot.

I'm really hoping for an uprising against them (a peaceful one, of course). I mean, if the majority simply flat out refused to let anyone cut back in line, and all refused to follow this stupid list, what are the list people going to do??Dr. Delight said:Why would they show themselves when there is no need to. Just keep doing their thing without any kind of recourse. Life is good.

Never heard anything to suggest it would ever get violent, to be fair. Plus, security is there. They aren't going to let it devolve into a rumble.badbrains said:Is it me or is the common thing involving this list is the preparty. Seems like people go put their name on the list and go to the preparty. Same people are almost at every show in the same spots. Just look at Amsterdam 1 & 2 if u were there. So maybe someone needs to honestly step up from the 10C and put a STOP to this bullshit, before someone gets fucked up for trying to get back in "his/her" place 7 hrs later. It WILL get violent one day and then GA goes away. Who's to blame? Fucktards with that corny ass list.

I prefer to be upfront at all the shows I go to, that's my prerogative no matter what my reasons. BUT only by being fair and decent to other fans. I will not queue jump and I will put my time in and wait.YLed2 said:Because some people will go to any length to be at the very front and cannot fully enjoy a PJ show without being on the rail and being showered in EV snot, sweat, and wine. If the list does appear in Cincinnati, it sounds like my GA experience should/could be entertaining...interesting...a learning experience, perhaps. ~X(Post edited by BRAIN0FJAY on...So much talk it makes no sense at all...0

Only if you are set on getting the rail. To me, that really doesn't seem worth it if you can be only 3 or 4 feet further back without dealing with that bullshit. The view is just as good and you're not stuck with the list losers on the rail for the whole show!BRAIN0FJAY said:If the list does appear in Cincinnati, it sounds like my GA experience should/could be entertaining...interesting...a learning experience, perhaps. ~X(

I have no problems with a list at all. If I'd arrived at 11:30pm, been 75th and 76th and there were actually 74 other people sitting waiting, no problem at all! But there were 15 max. 40-50 show up half an hour later for a 'check in', after that we're back to around 15 people again.
The list isn't the problem - I've seen it work fine before when used properly: A way to document who shows up to queue , in the order they show up. That way if the line gets moved or we're asked to group together, you still know who should be where in line in order to enter the venue in the order of who's waited the longest.
The problem is when groups of people collectively put their own 'rules' in place so that a queue is no longer a queue. Such as you can piss off for 6 hours and still expect to be in front of people who didn't piss off for 6 hours. That's what's wrong. They haven't stuck to the etiquette the 10c stated in their confirmation emails. Which means only an elite few have this privileged information, show up early, get their name on the numbered list and sod off for hours at a time.
It's bullshit.0 -

Someone who's gonna wait all day for GA should print a copy of the letter the 10C sent out. Hold onto it and when the issue comes up in line and security says anything, u pull out the copy and list goes away.0
-
As someone stated above, if the list maker told security that they were doing it for the band; then they were misrepresenting themselves as a band employee - there's gotta be something in the 'rules' that disallows this.0

My GA experience in Pittsburgh was GREAT!!
We got in line just as the doors were opening...followed the crowd out to the floor & ended up about 3 or 4 rows back on Mike's side.
I thought it was pretty funny that a LOT of the folks in front of us in the line ran for the bathrooms or picked up beers at the concession stands before heading out to the floor...kind of defeats the purpose of standing in that line if you ask me!!
We didn't have to deal with the list and still got a GREAT spot on the floor!!!

Can't wait for someone to cut in front of me who's on the list this fall.0

Like others have said it will be a cold day in hell before I wait all day in line when I could get some drinks and end up 15 feet back vs being on the rail.
I also have enough integrity not to be a total shit to those who do wait in line and sign off on something to go and run around for a while and come back. Piss break? I think anyone would be OK with that. Going to the bar? Piss off, get to the back of the line.
I would not get physical, not my style, but I sure as shit would speak my piece and support anyone else who spoke up. If you want to step to me in support of your list, bring it on.
Since I would rather not wait in line this is an issue I will never have to deal with -- sorry for the OP that this happened, that stinks. Nothing worse than a group of people feeling like they run the system. Some people will do anything to feel like they "belong."
What is fair for one should be fair for the rest. The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
