It was more fun than I thought. I hate reading in front of people as much as I hate self-promotion, but it ended up being a good time. We drank wine, I saw a lot of old friends. Sold about 20 books. I'd say that was a success.

Alas, no celebrities. I'm still trying to get Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to read it. Yeah, wish me luck with that.

I'm glad that this got bumped so i could find it. I will be making a Barnes & Nobles purchase in November (October is out cause a middle aged woman is obsessed with Pearl Jam and is going to get to Denver to retrieve her tickets to finally see them even though she has no clue how she's getting there yet. Who would believe such a person existed ;) ).

I applaud you for following your dreams and writing two books and getting one published! I am a writer but I am still too afraid to make that jump so whenever I see someone actually doing it, I have a great deal of respect for them. For you, in this case. Congratulations!

I will let you know when I actually order it. Maybe I have a gift card somewhere.... :D

Oh, thanks. Middle aged woman obsessed with Pearl Jam should read my first book about the middle aged woman obsessed with Pearl Jam. imalive read it. And said he liked it.

I never thought I could write a novel. Really. It's still shocking to me. If you write fiction (or poetry or non-fiction) check out this tiny online literary magazine I co-edit - hotvalleywriters.com. Our winter issue comes out Dec. 1st (I think) and we're always looking for submissions.

    Hope you like the book!

    a) a prince

    or

    b) a tobacco

    I know have a 3rd possibility

And I did know what a Prince Albert was - I don't know how I knew. Maybe because I've read a lot about Queen Victoria???

The link is there, in blue. I'll post it again though. You can leave a nice review somewhere if you'd like. No movie deal yet. Maybe Lifetime (blech) but I'd like to do better than Lifetime.

Thanks, Rob. Yes, everyone should buy this book. And here's another link - it's not about buying the perfect Thanksgiving hostess gift. It's about TV writing. Whoring whoring whoring...

Thanks for using the word 'sucky' in your writer's digest post. I find that this word is not used enough in our modern day lexicon.
    Sucky.
It says so many things, so easily.

    :))

(No sarcasm here. I am a sucky writer that this was not clear and I feel compelled to point this out in a postscript.)
