Cant wait to wake up tomorrow and read the body count. How about you?
This is so creepy and weird. You're really not that different than Wayne Lapierre or any of them. The same way someone like Lapierre would want to see a low body count just so he can say "See, guns aren't bad," you seemingly want a higher body count (you can't wait to wake up and read what it is after all) so you can say "See, guns ARE bad." These are actual people that were murdered. They're not just statistics for gun-loving nuts or gun-hating nuts to back up their message board arguments. Pathetic.
I thought you had me on block? I’m so honored. Apparently you have a difficult time understanding sarcasm without the /s or is it \s? What’s pathetic is posters who yuck it up at the mention of children killed by gun violence and who support the NRA because “it’s convenient.” Keep making excuses and I’ll keep calling out “responsible” gun owners who so easily, readily and legally buy firearms and show us all how gun laws should be less restrictive. That’s what is pathetic. That and that nothing changes.

As I've said, I don't have you on block. I see all your Team Trump Treason ramblings and just ignore it. But this warranted a comment. I'm not making excuses, I don't think the NRA is convenient (whatever that even means), and as was the case in the NRA thread, I still don't know where you're pulling this notion that I or anyone "yuck it up at the mention of children killed by gun violence."

A perfect website for someone like yourself that enjoys counting dead bodies.
In seriousness, I don't even disagree with you that gun violence is a major problem and that assault-style weapons should be banned. But this holier-than-thou crap that you spew where you suggest than anybody that owns a handgun is an accessory to the NRA and thus, in your mind, responsible for mass shootings, is ridiculous. As I've said before, you come off like a liberal bot.

I never claimed that “anybody that owns a handgun is an accessory to the NRA,” but I have called out gun owners for not denouncing the NRA and the politicians they support and I have certainly condemned s poster on here who is a lifetime member of the NRA because it makes going to the range convenient. Until you “responsible” gun owners demand change, nothing will change because the NRA and the politicians they support certainly don’t listen to liberal bots. Have a great day!

The NRA doesn't want a low body count. They are perfectly happy with a high body count, because then they get to use their favourite line. You know the one - "the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun....." Anything that keeps the profile of guns up is good news to them.
And interestingly, your "these are actual people that were murdered, not just statistics..." line is right out of the NRA playbook for response to shootings. Literally. This is the talking point they recommend be used both domestically and internationally. It's ironic when the NRA (and apparently you) accuse the media or individuals of "using" these data and stories to back up an anti-gun argument. Is there some actual, legitimate reason why we shouldn't link the cause of death to the death, in order to try to reduce those deaths? Would it be equally "pathetic" to argue against smoking causing lung cancer, or drunk driving causing fatal crashes? The NRA also uses these deaths, of course; they just use them to promote more guns.

Ah now THERE'S some sarcasm in bold. And I'll gloss over the quotations for "responsible" gun owners because I know that's just part of your schickt.
Two things: First my own opinion of the NRA: my problem with the NRA isn't that they're gun lobbyists. Rather, my problem with them is despite all their money and power, they don't seem to do anything good for society. They should be the leaders in gun-safety and gun-regulations. They should also take more of active role in the prosecution of gun offenses. One NRAism that I agree with is that many of the gun-laws that exist aren't enforced properly at all levels (investigation, prosecution, and sentencing). The NRA tends to bring that up when liberals call for "common-sense gun laws." They'll say that the laws are fine, but the prosecution of criminals isn't. I agree with that to a degree, but if they truly believed that, they'd throw their muscle/money around to make a change in that area. But they don't.
Secondly, you say "Until you “responsible” gun owners demand change, nothing will change." What would you have me do? I'm not a member of the NRA. And if I'm not a member of the NRA, they care about what I think as much as they care about what you think. Which is, of course, they don't care at all. They're a money-making business, and there's no money to be made from me. I was forced to buy a gun for my job, I bring it work, and then I lock it up at home and don't think about it again until the next day of work. I'm not the type of person the NRA either panders to or gives a crap about.

Why would you assume my representatives don’t care about me? I’ve found my representatives to be quite responsive, approachable and vote the way I would, particularly as it relates to guns and impeachment. Maybe it’s time to move?
Maybe you should?
Again, maybe you should. You could start it off with, “As a ‘responsible’ gun owner,’ I deplore the.........”
You need new dem candidates or should move.
I guess civic involvement isn’t a thing for some “responsible” gun owners? Too inconvenient?
I’m not scared of guns or passionate about anti-gun legislation like you are man. The human crisis that I’m most against is sex slavery. And I’ve dontated. So see? I’m not so bad. Here, maybe you can use another cause to take up to go along with guns and Trump...

Good on you. But there’s only so much time in the day and from my perspective, as horrific as sexual slavery is, I have a far greater chance of having my life impacted by a “responsible” gun owner than I do by sexual slavery. And I don’t say that to minimize your cause. Like I said, good on you and keep up your fight. It’s an evil that needs to be eradicated.

Yeah and good on you for your fight against guns. As I've said in many of our back-and-forths, I agree, gun violence in America is out of control. I just think your tone is condescending and snarky when it comes to it. All the "'Murica!" and "responsible" gun owner stuff.
When you say, "I have a far greater chance of having my life impacted by a “responsible” gun owner than I do by sexual slavery," I totally get that and agree. But I gotta say, when I've suggested on this board that Trump doesn't bother me because he doesn't impact my life, I've been called selfish and lacking empathy for those that are impacted. Not necessarily by you (though maybe, I can't recall), but definitely by a few people. But I can live in America, think life is fine for me under Trump, and still have empathy for those whose lives aren't fine under Trump. Just like you can live in the world, know that you'll never be subject to human trafficking, and still have empathy for those that are.
We were at this Walmart two weeks ago traveling through TN and MS. Very rough area. One of the kids wanted Subway and this was the closest on the GPS. We drove through the parking lot twice and I said “yeah im not leaving my car here, buddy. You’re getting Wendys or something”. Sad just like today’s Walmart tragedy.
What will Team Trump Treason say now? How about Ted Crud? Paul LaPupu? Too soon to talk about sensible gun control? It’s only a matter of time before it’s a neighborhood, school, concert, movie theater or mall near you. Nothing can be done.
Just read the first paragraph. I don’t want to read any more, but it already confirms what I assumed. Another alt right white supremacist mass killing. This one doesn’t even take responsibility, per se - it’s all the fault of the Hispanics apparently.
I wonder if unsung has given up on the idea yet that it’s the left that’s more violent?

Buh buh buh antifa! More guns is the only solution.

Maybe you should?
Again, maybe you should. You could start it off with, “As a ‘responsible’ gun owner,’ I deplore the.........”
You need new dem candidates or should move.
I guess civic involvement isn’t a thing for some “responsible” gun owners? Too inconvenient?
Have a great day!

Was getting concerned that we wouldn't have another incident within a few days to bump this thread back up to the top.

We need guns to kill deer with our buddies on a Saturday morning. I get it. We can spare a few adults and kids.

I wonder if unsung has given up on the idea yet that it’s the left that’s more violent?

It’s almost like that whole theory doesn’t pan out.
