Relax, it’s a dark matter black hole email.

    Black Holes

Black holes are among the most mysterious cosmic objects, much studied but not fully understood. These objects aren’t really holes. They’re huge concentrations of matter packed into very tiny spaces. A black hole is so dense that gravity just beneath its surface, the event horizon, is strong enough that nothing – not even light – can escape. The event horizon isn’t a surface like Earth’s or even the Sun’s. It’s a boundary that contains all the matter that makes up the black hole.

There is much we don’t know about black holes, like what matter looks like inside their event horizons. However, there is a lot that pearl jam fans do know about black holes.

Let's not confuse black holes and dark matter, which are distinct concepts. Dark matter permeates the universe. Black holes occur throughout the universe, but they are mostly isolated phenomena.
You lost me like the email.
A black hole is an object in space with a boundary, left behind after the collapse of a massive star or cloud of gas (or formed out of the merger of two or more black holes so formed). They are scattered around the universe. The closest known black hole to Earth is over 1,500 light years away.

Dark matter consists of an as-yet-undiscovered subatomic fundamental particle that exists everywhere throughout the universe. Dark matter exists in the room you are in right now.
Well, maybe. While it might be possible there is a tiny amount of dark matter everywhere, even your room, we only know that it is spread around and between galaxies in a web-like structure. At least that's where there's enough to cause a detectable effect on normal matter.

I’m just excited for new music. I don’t need the steak, I just want the sizzle. Or is it the other way round?
Sizzle not the steak, boat not the lake, window not the shutter, bread but not the butter

If we get a new album to stream on Tuesday...yay and good job 10club.

New single on Tuesday....marketing flop. No need for a tease [private listening party anounced publicly] on top of a tease [instagram post] on top of a tease [newsletter] . All for a new single

You realize that new single is off an album though right? The album announcement IS a big deal in and of itself.
    Flop

Ah, thanks! I‘ve been meaning to watch that for years. I‘m a huge fan of everything else Christopher Guest has written, just somehow never got around to that one, despite it obviously being his best-known one

I re-watched This Is Spinal Tap last summer and was reminded of the genius of the lyrics of that song. "The looser the waistband/The deeper the quicksand..."
