    Hi Dave!

Been watching True Blood on tv! Though, maybe just to keep me happy, I should download the episode with Erik and Alcide running around starkers! Though that may get my blood pressure to high and worry the doctors

One of the few programmes I record and try to keep up with... getting kind of difficult to keep up with all of the different variants now  vamps, werewolves, shapeshifters, fairies, witches, panthers... what next??

Aliens? Time travellers from the future?

I also record and watch when I can. Do the same with The Walking Dead (though I'm getting a bit bored with hit at the moment) and Dexter when it's on as I'm the only one interested in those series at home....

Not seen either of those but trailers looked interesting... sorry can't offer technical advice :(

Hope things go well for you xx

Thanks Dave. Not going in until the 26th but have loads to sort out at home before. Also need to sort myself out when I have a bit of time for myself (ie find films and such) and I also need to go buy decent nightwear and dressing gown!!!! Good thing I have a mother-in-law who believes slippers make a nice lil' stocking filler at Christmas - at least I have those!

I hear ya Rita. Out of interest what tablet do you have? I dont have a computer at home and would obviously love an ipad (being the apple slave that I am) but they're so bloody expensive and I have my macbookpro from work that I kinda use as my own computer...should I just bite the bullet and get a tablet (as someone was telling me they were at a presentation recently where the dude was using an ipad and apparently blew everyone away!) or wait and get a laptop (although I want a macbookpro for myself!!!).

Jen or Chris I reckon are the folks to give you computer advice...maybe jrd if its to do with downloading animal porn

Sony Tablet S - I really like it....

    http://www.sony.co.uk/product/sony-tabl ... b/overview

I'm not an apple slave - far from that! iThis and iThat annoy me... synch to iTune, etc....

I could always take G's laptop (she has a Vaio) that has a CD/DVD drive but that is so much bulkier.

I do have an SD card slot but I'm not too sure what they mean when they say "Tablet S can only use SD card space to store media files rather than to extend the main memory". I know I may sound really thick, but should I have Game of Thrones on the SD card, would I still be able to play it without problems? (Sorry... really stupid question).

Yes you should be able to put files onto the SD card. What it's telling you is that you can't install or run apps on it ;)

    WHAT?!

I think you need to figure out what you actually want from your device of choice. I have my PC set up, which I use for 99% of stuff at home, and some various external HD's connected. Then I have the Android tablet for if I'm watching TV (I have an Xbox that can stream stuff from the external HD's attached to my PC onto the telly) and want to check stuff quickly or if I'm back in Meath or for car stuff. Also very handy for watching youtube tutorials, cooking recipies etc... Then I have my phone for... well... phone stuff and out-and-about web access. No matter what I use, I still prefer the usual mouse and keyboard and decent screensize for most things while using the rest out of convenience.

 That's what I thought but I've never seen the 'caution' written that way....

**goes off to find Game of Thrones 'somewhere' online**

There we go... GOT 'sorted'. Will put on SD card to see if all is well.... But Rob playing with tablet at the moment

OK... got the tablet back. I do need to transfer the files from the SD card to the tablet before I can play them. But it's OK because I can do that a few episodes a time, then delete from tablet when watched.

Yay!!! Gonna see Game of Thrones!

Jaysus they're just as expensive as an iPad! I read a review of the Sony previously and it said it was the closest to an iPad but still miles behind!!

Yeah Jen I hardly ever used the pc so got rid of it and just use the work laptop..I WANT a tablet but probably for my coaching biz etc I really need a laptop! I'm in no rush, when I get a load of cash I'll pick one up.

    Hello my lovelies.

Al - I know some people who have both iPads and androids in their families. Most will find that the iPad is a 'playing games' and a media viewing bit of equipment and also quite restrictive when it comes to files and having to be all 'iStuff'. The android is a lot more flexible. But it's up to what you want to use this for...

Well I do want something that I can actually do work on so I might look into the Androids. I need to spend a good bit of time researching!

Mrs. Al has got good taste when it comes to her Cornettos! He's yummy...

Book fell on my face this morning. Tooth loose. Just came back from dentist - I managed to break the root! Will have to come out, unfortunately front tooth  . Hopefully it will hold until she has the bridge ready (Tuesday) as a temporary measure until implant (how much will that cost??????). I'm feeling miserable now.

Al, he's playing the Olympia? Not sure if I'd even be arsed going to that. Still in two minds about him.

Jen if you can get a listen to his songbook cd will give you an idea of whether it's your thing or not. This tour he has no band with him unlike his previous solo tours. Understand it's just him and an acoustic guitar.

Rita :( ... so sorry lovely. Doesn't sound fun at all.
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

It has to be a bloody front tooth, doesn't it?

Go ahead Jenny - be tempted. He's a bit of eye candy if nothing else to you!

Yeah he's in the Olympia..tix on sale on Wednesday. To be honest I was the same Jen and never even considered seeing him on his previous tours but I was so blown away by his voice at Alpine Valley I'm curious to see what he's like on his own...plus I've had a look at his setlists for this tour and they're all pretty old school SG, TOTD etc.

    Rita I hope you're doing ok :(

Hi all. It's been a long time!
Jen, you should definitely go to CC in the Olympia. I'm gutted I can't make any of his shows as I'm going to the Euros in Poland.
Only EV solo gigs could cheer me up now ;)
Or else seeing Al's hairy arse being spanked by Dunk (again).
    Goodtimes!

    Morning folks.. happy Monday

Met up with himself yesterday. Despite some tears an' all that, we still managed to have quite a nice time so I'm still fuckin' confused.

I also started swimming lessons on Saturday, and they're fun! Did much better than I thought I would!
