Yep, that's what is needed. Crossing my fingers for you! After they play around in SA they come up north for some some lovely Canadian hospitality!
If they were going to tour Canada wouldn't they most likely come up before the S.A. shows? It gets a little hairy here to tour in the winter. The Calgary show a few years ago almost got snowed out.

yeah, I can't see them coming up here after the SA shows. that would be just plain silly. so my guess is Canada isn't getting a tour this year. it would be quite strange for them to announce a tour that happens prior to the one already announced and on sale.

No that actually makes perfect sense your comparing South America to Canada, Canada sells out way faster then South America. I think last time they announced South America to late. They announced it earlier this year so people have more time to plan. Canada doesn't need alot of time to plan and most shows sell out in first couple minutes. so therefore it would make sense to announce Canada after south america but play it first.

You and your friend Hank need to stop flogging a dead horse. You make it sound like Pearl Jam just decided on a whim to go out and book a tour. This stuff is planned months, or a year in advance. And we usually hear about it when they start putting holds on venues.
Also, most of the shows in 2011 in Canada did not come close to selling out. Even in Toronto you could get two tickets together for both shows. Most Pearl Jam shows in North America are not complete sell outs. Winnipeg had 15,000 in 2005 and 12,000 in 2011. Calgary and Edmonton were similar. Saskatoon had sections curtained off up top.

As far as I remember most of them sell out.. It's not like it doesn't make sense to think there coming. If there not coming now who knows when were going to see them next. Now seems to be the best time, considering the bands never played in South America and not played in Canada the same year. But if you think it's just going to be South America and a couple us festivals then that's fine. I just feel there's something else out there. Either way my point makes sense you would announce the South American Tour first. In 2011 they announced South America in July and this year it was 4 months earlier in March. Clearly people there needed more time and Canadians probably need less time.

although, we're still doing better than the Southern US. but man, I'd love to follow them cross-Canada. Wish I would have done it in 2005.
