It's a business. Sell the tickets to ACL first then announce the rest.

West coast or Mexico will probably get some shows the week between dates at the very least.

    lol that's cute thinking.

    midwest is the new south.

you'll probably get something very similar to the last time they played ACL, couple of nights in LA, and then a run up the coast or something similar.

ooh, might be fun. Nice festival in general. I see that CID is doing packages. I'd be hesitant to trust them after the DeLuna fiasco 2 years ago. Wasn't that CID?

For those wanting to know other dates, I doubt we will see that for a while yet. Any other shows will hurt ticket sales for ACL. I am sure they have agreed to a window of time whereby the band won't announce any other US dates to allow for ACL tickets to sell well.

Once ACL sells out, and it will quickly, it's fair game :)

I was hoping we get dates in May but based on history I think I'm being optimistic.

It did however says "Tour dates coming soon" in the Future Days email radio stations received mid-March.

Who out there knows the rules when bands sign on to play music festivals? There is a square mile radius in which the bands are to stay within during a short period of time- in other words they CAN'T play Albuquerque the Wednesday between weekends- otherwise ACL would miss out on a few thousand tickets....anyone in the biz out there and know the rules?
Anyway I always wanted to go to Austin- looks like 2014 will be the best year ever!! =D>

Uh, Albuquerque is like 11 hours from Austin. I'm pretty sure it falls outside of the festival radius ban. Cities they probably could not play would be San Antonio, Houston, maybe even Dallas, etc... Not Albuquerque. Plus there are NOT a few thousand people coming from ABQ to ACL just for Pearl Jam. I am pretty sure I know MOST of the hard core PJ fans in this town at this point, ha ha... and I bet none that I personally know will go to Austin to see PJ for a festival show. This is why ABQ would be perfect between festival dates, because we are essentially not surrounded by anything (PJ have skipped us for the past 14 years after playing some legendary shows here in the 90s/2000) but close enough to not be as crazy as say, flying gear from LA to Austin for the festival and then back to LA like they did in 2009...

It won't sell out quickly, at least for the second weekend. They are up against the TX-OU game. Same thing happened last year, and the 2nd weekend didn't sell out. They claimed it did a few days out, but I went and there were WAY less people than previous years ... they could have sold many thousands more tickets.

They've included a bunch of terrible EDM/rap acts on the bill, obviously trying to appeal to the youngsters/masses. But I don't know if it will work.

Personally, it is a very uninspiring lineup. The only acts I'd pay to see are PJ, Replacements, St Vincent, Gaslight, J Roddy, Robert Ellis, and a few more of the smaller names. I suspect most of those can be covered by late night shows (or regular tours), so I''ll wait for those and get single day tickets for PJ. I think many will do the same.

so so so pumped!! This will make up for me missing them at ACL in 2009. Thank you PJ!!!!! Love you guys!

I bought two extra that I'm willing to sell for face value. I had someone who works for me get me some because I was having trouble getting them from my phone this morning...then my order went through on my phone.
Send me a message if you are interested. It's for weekend two.

Good. The less people there, the better. Especially since I just got Weekend 2 tix this morning.
