i assure you wont force me to do anything. I agree with some points made here but from what ive seen some ppl are expecting a 1 metre space around them

That's not what the people -the majority - who argue against moshing have said!!!

    *shakes head*

And, really, after reading the whole thread I'm astonished at how people can defend hurting fellow PJ fans in the name of moshing or enjoying themselves at a rock show that way.

It's so depressing. I can't imagine how these people can call themselves PJ fans and be such assholes at the same time. I thought we were way more caring than that. Sad to say, but PJ should stop playing in places where people are known for moshing.

What worries me is that this happens after Roskilde.

PJ did not play in Europe for 6 years after that!

From reading the fanviews Paris has been quite bad in the pit, people were scared for their safety. That should not happen.

Why should a minority spoil it for the majority of PJ fans who are considerate and respectful of their fellow fans?

And no one is arguing against rocking out at their concert by jumping around, dancing, singing.

Most people are comfortable with GA, lots of people down the front and some bouncing around, pogoing etc right?

It's the moshing and disregard for the people around you that is being complained about. It's generally drunk or younger fans but it is inconsiderate and is more relevant to metal concerts. There was a small amount of moshing going on at Dublin and a little bit behind me at Reading, which did piss me off because instead of being able to get absorbed in the concert I was constantly getting crashed into. It does take away from the enjoyment of the gig, you don't have to crash into other fans who aren't moshing!!

I think an earlier post had it about right, the band don't welcome it, neither do the vast majority of PJ fans, be more considerate or take it somewhere else...

I agree. And they should encourage people to cut their hair too. i mean: that's unhealthy.

There is a differecne between 1. drinking a few beers, having fun and singing along, and 2. disturbing the show and not letting the oportunity to others to enjoy it....!!!

  • You know, this is sounding a lot like the 'no smoking in public area's'-discussion. And guess what, they have LAWS about that now. :D
