Man three straight years of the team’s record improving, yet they got bounced in an earlier playoff round each year.

The Mets have been the better team over the past few months. Not a surprising result.
Records improving just means they've been choking to lesser teams in October. It's unacceptable.

Dombrowski is the one I fault most. His moves this year were pretty much trash.

Austin Hayes is a disgrace to all Hayes' who've ever worn the number 9.

They gotta fire the hitting coach or something. Like, the whole damn team has terrible approaches. Whatever. I need to stop caring so much about this nonsense. Multi-millionaires playing ball. Let's focus on multi-millionaires playing rock music instead.

I don't think hitting coaches do much at the major league level. They're always scapegoats and nothing changes. Normally they would fire him anyway, but would they in this case since he's tight with Harper?

All I know is there is a lot that needs to change with this lineup. Seems like JT is past his prime too.

    How close is Miller?

One bit of good news is Painter is playing in AZ so I'd assume he'll be in the rotation next year

Getting rid of Kevin Long won't do much imo. They need to shake up the lineup/roster, though they have no choice but to keep sending out the same guys.

I would trade JT for pennies on the dollar because he's still worth a prospect or two for a contending team; leave Stott alone at 2nd, if anything I would flip Stott and Trea at short; Bohm you're stuck with tho wouldn't be against starting him in AAA next season; non-tender Hays and accept the shitty trade; keep Marsh in center and get a decent bar in left.

I would not speed anyone through the system, but it would be nice if they actually could produce a meaningful prospect or two for once.

The AAA catcher they brought up was pretty good. Marchan?

I mean I have always been of the philosophy that you shouldn't pay a catcher 20MM+ unless they are a hall of famer. Otherwise, cheap defensive guys who bat in the 8th or 9th hole is all I want.

Guys I have an extra ticket to Cloud Nothings at Johnny Brenda’s on Monday October 21. It’s cheap. Honestly I don’t even care if I get money for it. Anyone interested?

Guys, don’t go to the dark side. Vibes are really bad in this city right now. It’s just sports. I had people comment on my dead dads Yankees hat at a brain tumor walk today and just came across some VERY angry fat guys in eagles gear at a bottle shop up the street from me.

Little off topic here but I can’t ever recall a fall being this dry.  It’s like a dust bowl out there.  I mean I love the bright sunshine blue skies every day but this is kind of crazy.

I feel like I’ve done a good job moving past our team absolutely blowing against our biggest rival but if I see any NY baseball hat I’m flipping a va fancul.

I'm definitely doing fine. For whatever reason I haven't felt as emotionally attached to this Phils team as I have in the past.

This weather is fucking ridiculous. My allergies have also been bad. My grass a couple weeks ago looked worse than it usually does in mid July. Had it aerated and overseeded a couple weeks ago and I've been watering it since--now I'm the only one who's lawn is green on my block. But there is still literally no rain in the ten day forecast. Crazy shit...and nobody seems to be talking about it.

Also.....guess it's weather related but my tomatoes are FINALLY coming in and they are delicious. Came in late last year too actually.

Like the extension of Thompson and bringing the staff back. Anyone being sacrificed just for the sake of it because a bunch of highly paid contracts aren't adjusting on their own isn't on them.
