So by my math they should be at 27 songs by the time they get here, yes?

Still not sure what the hell i'm doing for the show next week. Is there a pre-party anywhere? I know some people are meeting up in the city, I might do that. How is everyone getting there/parking? Still debating if I should drive to Camden or just take the ferry over or maybe just get a ride with someone.

Absolutely. We're up to 25 songs and 2 hours 15 minutes. No way they play more songs and for longer time at fucking Hamilton than Philly or NY.

    Trending in the right direction!

Also would like to say that Jean Segura has been both a joy and thorn in my side over the course of his career here, but overall I'll say he's totally worth it and will suck when he's gone. He's been a big clutch player with a spark. I gotta think the team option at $17M for next year they're not going to exercise, so hopefully, maybe they can re-work that into something more affordable. At the same time I think they're legitimately going after Turner or Correa in the offseason, so I guess we'll see. Regardless, he was a total win in the trade to move on from Crawford at such an early point in JP's career.

I NEED this playoff game. Just one goddamn game back here in this park. Would be suuuuper disappointing if they don't make it at this point.

Wouldn't that first three game series all be on the road for us though?

Yeah, I guess. Whatever just gimme some playoff baseball damnit. Well here's something that's fucking nuts - the last time the Phils we're in the playoffs I was in my 20's. The next time (hopefully, goddamn that's pathetic) I'll be in my 40's.

Ugh...I was at that one too, Johnny. That and the Bucs' Championship games were the two most depressing walks out of stadiums I've ever experienced.

I threw a barstool in a temper tantrum while Rhonde was running back the pick six. Didn't watch an Eagles game at a bar for 17 more years. (a big blowout loss to Dallas - oh well)

I've had zero involvement with any logistics there - CLIIIIIFFFFFFF
Locking it in. Been a fucked up week and the wife was trying to get a discount on something through work but no go, so going party bus. I’ll shoot you a note

If anyone on that Party Bus know anyone who MIGHT want to hop on board, but doesn't have a ticket, I have a Lawn Ticket if interested.(I'd rather sell at the show If possible).

My prayers have been answered. Apparently Taryn Hatcher will start doing sideline reporting for both the Phils and the Sixers starting soon.

24 "songs" in Toronto - 2 of them were Her Majesty (a 20 second song I believe) and Interstellar Overdrive (30 seconds). And they played Last Kiss - maybe they got it out of their system. At least a few deep-ish tracks - Light Years would be cool.

What do you guys think of these shows starting with five slow-tempo songs? I hate it but I guess this is how Camden's going to begin too. Nothing against any of the songs in particular. But five at the top of the show? Look at the opening five songs from the last four shows. Biggest crowd-killers in bold....

    Quebec...
    01. Daughter
    02. Footsteps
    03. Buckle Up
    04. Other Side
    05. Off He Goes

    Ottawa...
    01. Of The Girl
    02. Garden
    03. Alright
    04. Nothing As It Seems
    05. Low Light

    Hamilton...
    01. Oceans
    02. Nothingman
    03. Yellow Moon
    04. Man Of The Hour
    05. Retrograde

    Toronto...
    01. Daughter
    02. Come Back
    03. Sometimes
    04. Her Majesty
    05. All Those Yesterdays
    06. River Cross

What's your beef with Come Back? River Cross should be the one in bold there.

I kind of like it. Ease into the set. Maybe they're trying not to blow out his voice early on?

Buckle Up is an instant classic. Top 5 PJ song already. No debate. God I hope we get that next week...Retrograde can go to hell though.

Come Back is one of the most boring songs I've ever heard. One of my favorite live PJ moments ever was them aborting it at the Spectrum, and going into a song I love instead: No Way.

I imagine you're joking about Buckle Up.

As for you liking them easing into it, eh, to each their own. For me personally at a show, the anticipation throughout the day builds, they come out on stage and you're all excited, but too many songs like that at the top sucks the energy right out of the building (or at the very least, bores me). I'm all for a Release/Long Road/Sometimes/Of The Girl type of opener, but following that, I'm hoping for an Animal/Hail Hail/Why Go type of song.

As for his voice, I would think that you'd want to spread those slower songs throughout the set to give him breaks.

Yeah maybe 5 or 6 slow songs to start is a bit much. I see what you're saying. Maybe cap it at 3.

But of these selections, this would be ideal for me

    01. Of The Girl
    02. Garden
    03. Sometimes
    04. Nothing As It Seems
    05. BUCKLE THE FUCK UP MOTHERFUCKERS YEAH!!!!!!!!

BTW, I really do like Buckle Up. The weirdness of it, I think, is vastly overrated.

I basically skip Buckle Up. I'm sure I'm far from alone. Come Back is a great song. I'm fine with the slow start, especially if they play Of The Girl - one of my long-time faves.
