Unrelated to nothing about any of this I'd just like to say I've been watching/listening to this while working and I've been fucking loving it.

The plaintiff lawyer is actually from CLS. I hope they win and turn PA's public school funding on its head.

Everything is the government's fault. Or the system, or whatever. Yeah the lack of affordable housing, the PA minimum wage, the lack of opportunities, all that is a disgrace and honestly we are all to blame. On the other hand, people need to be at least a little responsible for keeping their children safe.

Just saw something about a Christmas tree going up. And if that's true hooo boy does that happen fast.

Ours has been sitting outside of our house since Saturday. I couldn't wait to get it out.

So I'm going to a Conor Lamb event tomorrow. I'm planning on some polite but choice words, especially regarding this nonsense:

I think it's pretty weak that Philly unions endorsed him but I get it. Seems like an overreaction to Katie McGinty from last time.

I'm still leaning Fetterman but could figure Lamb and Fetterman split the western PA vote which leaves an opening for Kenyatta or Arkoosh, which would be fine with me.

    Lol "I'm a normal democrat"

A friend of ours is a counselor with the district and is working on trauma with the kids, knows a couple of them. Jesus, I can't imagine being this 5 year old when they're old enough to fully comprehend what happened. Christ.

Anyway, I've been made aware of these two things if you're inclined:

I'm hearing a lot of support for Fetterman around here.

Yeah I'm gonna tell him I'm an Abnormal Democrat.

Fetterman just has a huge war chest of cash and has been going at this basically since the 2020 General was over. Again, I'll be fine with any one of Fetterman/Arkoosh/Kenyatta. I think Lamb is weak to essentially take a stand of punching at those to the left of him. Who the hell does he think is going to campaign for him come General election time? Not a good look.

Fetterman needs to get that kid he wrongly held at gun point to do some kind of campaign event/sit down interview with Jim Gardner or something. I think he's said he will vote for Fetterman? Either way, Republicans will resurrect that big time later this year no matter if it was a big deal or not.

How is everyone feeling about going to concerts right now? Specifically WOD in a couple weeks? I know know Johnny is still going. I am likely going to pass at this point. None of the people I am going with want to go. Was hoping they would postpone but that doesn't appear to be happening. Sucks.

Yeah I dunno. I have tickets to Greensky Bluegrass, too, and am on the fence because of it now.

If I didn't have kids I really wouldn't give a shit. I'm just trying to take it day by day and limit the chance that we have to end up quarantining.

Mother in law’s battling lung cancer and starting chemo again soon. We see her all the time. So that’s the main reason I gotta be careful. Really don’t see us going at this point. Sucks.

Sorry to hear about your mother in law juggs. Hope everything turns out well.

Getting my booster next friday. I'm ok with going to concerts. I was thinking of going to tone of the WoD shows at the end of the month. Might try to find a cheap ticket on stubhub closer to the show. I'll wear a mask and show my vax card and all. I rarely get sick so I'm not as cautious as others.

Unrelated to nothing - yo I was at the Wegmans in Cherry Hill today and a lot of shit was gone, empty shelves, etc (same for the couple drug stores I've been to the past couple weeks). Not trying to be a Debbie Downer here but everything I've been reading (and now seeing) about production & supply chain logistics in relation to this surge is no joke. I think the next couple weeks through the end of the month are gonna be some tough times.

Yeah it's getting thin.  That is where we instacart from and it has been that way for a while.
Sunday is the worst day of the week, traditionally,  for stocking anyway....but now it is any day, especially  after about 3 or 4pm.
    Crazy.

Yeah I try to go super early on Saturdays, but went early on a Sunday figuring I'd still be in decent shape. I mean I was still able to get the majority of what we usually get, but just feels like in the next couple weeks we're going to hit some pain points here in terms of deliveries/work shortages (if not already on that front).

To me the omicron is basically unstoppable and we've been given the ability to protect ourselves so I just don't feel the desire to skip things. Felt a little funny on Saturday but better now. That's just me - I can understand everyone's got unique situations. Sorry about the family illnesses fellas.

I did go to the Conor Lamb thing and I did ask about that tweet and I wasn't really satisfied with his answer - basically the "voters in the middle" aren't "talking about socialism" they're "talking about jobs" and yada yada (like the child tax credit he supports and jobs from infrastructure money aren't elements of socialism - whatever). Also he was fairly negative on SCOTUS expansion. I wouldn't say he won me over, although I respect him coming to Delco to meet people, and they didn't demand money for it either. I'm still an undecided in this particular primary election. A POC who was there said she was definitely not voting for Fetterman but would reluctantly vote for him in the general (no choice). So yeah, Juggs has it right, he has to get in front of that incident.

Yeah, the ironic thing with the Fetterman thing it's kinda like the Lamb position, of course to a much more serious degree than the political consequences of rhetoric. But I think Fetterman is banking on the calculus of appealing to enough rural and western PA voters with enough of a hold on the progressives statewide, while Lamb is going for union-related Dems (basically DINOs) and straight center moderates. Gonna be a fun race.

But I hear you - depending on how Fetterman handles a response to that situation could change my vote. Right now I'm leaning 1) Fetterman 1A) Arkoosh/Kenyatta 999,999,999,999) Lamb

Kind of annoyed that Shapiro isn't even getting a primary challenger. Pennsyltucky is looking gloomy with Mastriano and Doctor fucking Oz running. Christ.

"Dr." Oz - are these people really gonna vote for a crooked carpetbagger quack? Oh yeah, I'm sure they will.

It is concerning to have no primary challenger for Shapiro - I mean what if something comes out? It is what it is I guess. Maybe better to have one strong candidate than, like, 20 terrible candidates, right?

He was pretty engaging and funny back when he was an Esquire contributor. I'm thinking now that maybe those pieces were ghostwritten.

I think there should be a rule that if you live in the northeast and it's 35 degrees or less outside, if you see a guy in shorts (except for coming directly out of a gym) you should be able to punch said guy directly in the face with no repercussions.  I saw a guy last night heading into the Acme with shorts on. It was 22 fucking degrees when I got out of my car and this numb nuts is in shorts.  Sorry punchable offense in my opinion. you're not cool, you're a fucking idiot for wearing shorts when it's 22 fucking degrees. no one thinks your cool and you look like an idiot....end of rant.
