Hotel booked for the Inner Harbor of Charm City. Question now is do I just get MSG, too, or try and sell the wife on a trip to AZ since she likes going back out there to visit friends.
AZ in Spring is a good time.
We did the Hilton by Camden and the arena since we'll be going to both spots.
I was thinking of Phoenix as it's a Saturday show. Play a little golf out there too maybe.
I'm going to sift through all this shit tonight but can someone tell me what the tickets cost? I don't feel like looking through those threads on the Porch
More expensive than usual. Baltimore was $122 a pop I think.
yep just for one ticket!

^An extra $5 per for the commemorative ticket package too...which I got.
Did you notice in the album email they say Gigaton is the follow up to the "Grammy award winning" Lightning Bolt?" I had to look it up. It won a Grammy for Best Packaging. Come on. I don't think they announced No Code by saying it's the follow up to Grammy Award winning Vitalogy....
Yes, JP, time's have changed and irony oozes in multiple locations. Still---I am fucking psyched for this album. Dance of the Clairvoyance is an odd name for a PJ song... and I like it. Can't wait to hear it.
Balt and MSG, as well. Wanted both LAs but their lame announcement strategy held me off given my hope for more NE shows or something unusual in the fall.

Here for wrong opinions today. Coworker said Citizens Bank Park is not a top-10 ballpark. I went ahead and told him his opinion is incorrect. Just by quickly glancing at all teams, my own experience, and what I assume from my couch that these are the teams with better ballparks (in no particular order): Pittsburgh Baltimore Boston (sure, fine, maybe) Seattle Wrigley San Fran Colorado (maybe) Dodger Stadium (again, also maybe).
At best I might be able to squeeze one more city above Citizens Bank. Regardless, there's wiggle room to say it's top-10, or close to top-10.
Glaring ones that I think would be under consideration are Kansas City. Never been and may be a shit hole, but looks friggen awesome on TV. Also San Diego, I dig that one on TV too.
I like Great American and would remove LA (been to probably 100 games there, love it, but it is not a nice ballpark, or at least not better than Citizens.)
I don't think Seattle is anything special, either.

for what it's worth went to a Phil's game last year and got into a conversation with two guys sitting in front of us who do a trip to multiple parks each year. we got into this conversation about the best ballparks and they said Kansas City was surprisingly great. They hadn't been to Pittsburgh yet but they loved Citizens Bank and Cincinnati.
Yeah I don't have a count on them now since so many have opened but I think I've been to two thirds of them...no way Philly isn't a top 10 park. Food is great, they bring beer to the seats more than anywhere I've been....good sight lines, decent pisser access and the prices are reasonable. Need earmuffs for the kids but hey.... it's Philly.
KC I feel the same way, seems like it may be better now that they renovated it?
Been to Cincy - the park on the water is cool, but that is about it for me.
Again I said mayyyybe on LA. I like it.
I loved Seattle - from up top you can see Ranier (or one of those mountains), food & drink options were really good, sightlines were pretty much good from all over, and they've got the same setup with the bullpen where you can talk shit (to a reasonable point) to the pitchers. Oh and it's right in the city. San Diego's park I've never been, but the actual field looks like nothing special. I like the berm or park or whatever in center. So I'm intrigued because San Diego is cool and all, though I don't expect much from the fans there.
MY POINT IS, still, we're at a point where Citizens Bank is 10 or 11 at worst.
Onto Bawlamore - I look forward to gorging myself at the Thames Street Oyster House.
Cincy, prices are best in MLB. I'm a reds fan so am biased, but I did the field tour and really like everything I have seen. So long as nobody ever puts new Jankees Stadium on any top ten list I can deal. Bottom 10 list.
I like the brink building in left and the skyline view of San Diego. KC is also low key one of the players favorite cities. They say they don't get bugged a ton and the food is good. I need to get to a game there.
Not gonna defend new Yankee stadium, but the playoffs the last few years have been wild. That's more a fan thing though.
Fans might be great and fun to be a part of. Stadium sucks unless you are looking for a humungous, overpriced, wallet killer that has lots of empty seats. Citi Field is much better, imo.
He's what like in his 70's/80's now? But you're right he does look really old (like in his late 80's, 90's)
