Seeing them 3 nights next week!
Im now in Golden enjoying amazing weather hoping it holds for tonight and tomorrow.
3 nights in a row with 2 nights of little sleep due to 6 a.m. flights.
Maybe its my training for PJ in September.
3 nights with differing, but not vastly different,  setlists + Amanda Shires was a great experience.

There is definitely a different dynamic when she is there. Not just for Jason but for the whole band.
But to see the way he looks at her during Vampires and Cover Me Up makes traveling to see them worthwhile.

So true! It's always better when Amanda is there too.

Bump for his album release tomorrow. One of my vinyl copies will show up tonight so I'm anxious to crack into it. Early reviews, both press and fans, seem to be very positive. I can't wait.

Pumped for this album and to see him again next Friday. Tracking says mine won't arrive until Monday, which sucks.

Listening to the record now.  Song for song, very, very solid.  This Ain't It is sticking out to me as my favorite song on the first listen.

Mine arrived yesterday, but I got called away to pick up my grandkids from daycare before I could give it a listen. I am going to try to give a spin or two tonight.

Anyone else notice Jason’s Vedder-esque growl in This Ain’t It?  I love the way he sings that song.

Went to my local shop’s listening party for Weathervanes on Wednesday and won the prize pack giveaway with the post, tee, slip mat, pin, and autographed postcard!

And then I got home and my vinyl was waiting for me two days early. Been spinning a lot and it really is fantastic. I’m trying to keep my recent biased in check, but as many have said, this may prove to be his best album to date.

What a fantastic album, absolutely knocked it out of the park. "The old assignment" along with some of the other jams/longer guitar parts are great, really feels more like their show. I got and have listened to the Port Merch vinyl and the VMP vinyl, and I much prefer the VMP on first listen. Port Merch copy is warped and wasn't as clear of a soundstage. I also got a natural Indie copy coming from TX which I believe is signed, thanks to a shop hooking me up. Can't wait to see him in early August and hoping for a Ryman announcement soon.

Also hope Jimbo is healthy and back with them by then!

Looks like Will Johnson will be part of the 400 Unit for the foreseeable future. I would humbly request a Will solo set somewhere in the evening.

Yes, the Port Merch red was not as nice of a press as the VMP translucent orange. VMP was flat, PM Red was not. Red also just didn't sound as clear, although I will be cleaning both for another comparison. Haven't listened to the Indie natural variant which just arrived, signed!

Jimbo tweeted a couple of weeks ago that he would miss "the first couple" weeks of tour as he is/was dealing with some mental health things he needs to work through. He tweeted a bit more detail about the issue today, but not about any return. Hopefully he is able to make it back soon.
