Relative to the last couple albums Weathervanes rips and plugging Will Johnson into the band is only gonna bring more ripping to the live show

His last several tours have been a little too mid tempo for me. What they're doing now is something else.

The Southeastern box is perfect. Vinyl, acoustics, liner notes, live and demos, it is perfect. Seeing his first 2 Ryman shows next week, can’t wait.

Looks awesome!! Hoping I can snag one down the road. We're in full-on save mode, so I just shouldn't pull the trigger now. Have a blast seeing them at the Ryman - that's on my wishlist someday!

The new Southwestern pressing is definitely better than the old pressing. But its still not great. The sound on the Demos is way better. And the live album sounds fantastic too.

^^^^^^ I purchased the black vinyl pressing from Amazon, tons of surface noise and both copies have a pretty good edge warp.  Both are going back, going to try the Vinyl Me Please version.

Memphis pressing is not a great plant. I wouldn't commit to the VMP press.

I cleaned the fuck out of mine and it did get rid of most of the static.

I'll hold onto one of the black records until the VMP shows up.  I cleaned the shit out of both and still noise and a couple of clicks, on the last song of side 1.  So annoying.

I have the colored webstore box version but have only listened to demos and live so far. Both sounded great, no warp, nice quality. I believe weathervanes was pressed at Gotta Groove Records and I’m guessing this was as well

He has really done a nice job with the last bunch of vinyl releases. All in nice gatefolds, well pressed, cut by Pete Lyman, poly lined sleeves, he puts in the effort. I have 3 copies of reunions and 3 copies of weathervanes (2LP) which is 9 total vinyl with top quality sound and without one vinyl issue. Thats unheard of these days!

Night 2 may have even topped 1! Amanda opened and played a great set, played about an hour. Jason played guitar for a couple songs and Mercy came out to sing/howl on one as well.

Jason and the band played a couple hours and crushed it. Played a 10ish song set then came back and played full band acoustic for another 6 or so, including Flagship, Outfit, and Codeine. Came back for a few more songs full electric. Great great set and show. Totally different from night 1 getting Southeastern. Loved them both, scored a hatch print night 2. Wish I could stay and do more shows this run. Enjoy to all that will!

The show last night was fun. The new songs sound great live, especially King of Oklahoma.
