the 2013 Fan Club 45rpm record...opinions?

No thanks. It was really fun in person because I could see everyone playing the song and it was entertaining. However, spinning this and just listening to jayz rap over some generic rock music...? Zero interest.0

A bit of a newbie here...
So this ships out to TenClub members automatically, correct?
I signed up last January (waited WAY too long to do so).AjaxSlax0 -

not really, since the whole idea behind the christmas single in the first place was for it to be released on vinyl only. dead weather are doing the same thing with their two new tracks. they aren't releasing them digitally until they can be sure many if not most of the people who bought the physical product have them first.
ten club probably wants as many members to have their paid package at the same time, whether it be analog or digital members. I think it's a fair idea.Gimli 1993

If that is what they are doing it remains a strange choice. People who opted to have a physical product sent through the mail to their homes should have no expectation that they will receive those packages before the digital files are released. The digital files and, most importantly, the music in those files can be made available to all members instantaneously. Waiting for packages to be delivered through the mail makes no sense. It should be about the music, not about the plastic.
That said, I don't think the issue is trying to get the vinyl to people first. I think what has happened is that the decision was made to release the mp3's on a specific day (Christmas Eve or Christmas Day) and the vinyls just shipped when they were ready. Some will have them for Christmas, some won't. That makes more sense to me than waiting to release something digitally because it takes time to deliver vinyl.
But...I've been wrong before and will be again. And none of this is a complaint, just an observation.___________________________________________

Maybe... one day.... it does seem the band is keeping a lid on any studio tracks these days (possibly for lost dogs 2 one day?).
It's a shame. My favorite fan club singles are the ones with new studio tracks on them (or even Don't Believe in Christmas which they recorded the soundcheck.. which is close to studio...).
PJ has so much live content out there (as they release almost every show) that live singles aren't quite as interesting to me. I know this show didn't get released but I have heard it before (the videos were all over youtube).
I have to imagine at some point they'll find the time to put something new on a fan club single.... so many great fan club songs from years past:
1) Sonic Reducer (Cover)
2) Let Me Sleep
3) Don't Believe in Christmas
4) Driftin'
The list goes on0 -

and what a package that was...
I haven't had the opportunity to spin the albums yet (my package just turned up yesterday), but i did break the seal and look at all the vinyl, so pretty... red transparent marble, solid yellow marble, and transparent yellow...
I can't wait see if it spins as good as it fucking looks.Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -

Why should people only having digital memberships not get them at the same time those who are analoge get their vinyl?
