Acoording to your pics I was 1 meter to your right.
On the first pic from Brisk: In front of Jeff, about 1 or 2 meters from the barrier there is a tall, blonde dude with a blue shirt. The smaller, brown haired dude with a green shirt left of him, thats me. :D

Unfortunatly I can't see me on the pic which is taken from the front. I must have been a bit more to the left or I'm just to short.
I can remember seeing the guys with the bugs shirts though.

  • g'day mates

first of all i'd like to thank everyone who made this evening so great. even picking up the 10C-tickets or during the 2-hour-waiting in the first rows i met some great people (thanks for getting the drinks, mate ;-) )

I'm completely satisfied with the setlist.. of course, they missed some of my favorites, but even at a four-hour-show, their wouldn't be enough time to play them all. the atmosphere was just great.. i had goosebumps for almost 2 houres...

Here's an article I found in the 'Blick', a swiss tabloit paper, the day after the gig: http://www.green.disease.ch.vu/pearljam/blick_20060914.pdf

Also made some photos, but they havn't arrived yet (no, i didn't took my digital camera with me ;-) ). will them post, as soon they arrive.

    so long, cheers

Now it's offifcial: Bern was the shortest show of this leg. Even shorter then Leeds.

Was front row in front of Stone....Eddie was seemed like he had the flu...he came over in front of us...blew his nose several times. Sure thats why he was somewhat subdued.....plus must be brutal touring like they're doing.
Enjoyed the show....course got smashed..but my wife and I hung in there...the crowd was pretty cool though..with exception of dude that shook his hair and ended up with tamborine...guess Ed liked his enthusiasm..but he and his buddies ended up pushing us furhter to the side of stage..oh well.

Only show in Europe but it was truely great..now for a early 2007 southern tour.

I did have a problem with few 10C club members in the front of the line...acted like they owned the joint and had special priveliges....definetely uncool. Left when they wanted...had freinds cut in line...then complained about people moving up as time for entrance came about....then tried to save space for thier freinds when inside the stadium...oh well.

I did get to meet a great guy from Australia that currently lives in England...him and his wife. Great sense of humor...and seemed to be a great bloke. And if your on this board or thread..the Swiss metro system was desinged to confuse the shit out of you....

    Peace

If you don't speak the langage and you look at the board to purchase a fare....how many zones...where are we going..what zone are we in..do you want a Kurze (short ) ticket? It's much more complicated than it needs to be....and when I heard my English/Australian freind mention this.....just emphasized my earlier thoughts.

Course never saw anyone checking for tickets...so I owe the swiss some fares...(-:

By the way..love your country...had a blast...great food, beer and people. Will be back.

There were 4 songs left off the intended setlist... still at 26 songs it was one killer show. I've put my photos and whatnot up here:

Yeah, that's me ;-) I went to Verona, Milano and Torino and now I'm done. I met Jeff in Milan and we talked about the pick mishandling and then in Torino he threw me his wristband. He's a great guy.

  • g'day mates

finally i got the pictures i took with a single-use camera ... and here's the advice of the day: do NOT buy single-use cameras for a concert! can't see anything on the pictures.. no even the ones taken outside, under the bright sun of bern, were good enough to post it ... there must have been something wrong with the cam from the beginning

but at least there were enough people taking good shots of the gig. thank's mates :)

i found a funny article in the 'Bund', titled "music from the underground parking", where they named Eddie the "singing gas station attendant" :) you can find the article at http://www.oceanbased.ch/pj/bern2006/MusikAusDerTiefgarage.jpg

    have a great weekend, cheers

I've read that this show has been the shortest so far but it really does not matter at all. I was not there but I'm listening to the bootleg as I write this and the actual show/crowd is great. Good for you boys and girls. :) I'm sure you had a great time.
