I am still in disbelief of last night's show. I agree with everyone's feelings about the show- it was AMAZING!!! I want to tell everyone I know how awesome it was, but unfortunely for them they are not PJ fans and wouldn't understand. It was surreal and magical- epic isn't a big enough word to describe it. My top show has been the closing of the spectrum and this easily ties that for first. I've seen 13 shows, including missoula and Wrigley, and can't think of another concert that the crowd was so vocal and into the show. The band definetly fed of our energy! Highlights for me were Chloe/Crown, Save You, and Alone- I was lucky enough to see Chloe/Crown at Wrigley, but this time was more magical with the energy of the crowd. A HUGE THANK YOU to the band for an amazing experience, and to the crowd for being KICK ASS energic singers!!! I will die a happy woman
I know I was born and I know that I'll die, the in between is mine.
I have to Thank 2 People that were in the building with me tonight...
The 2 dudes near the soundboard, staff. Whom took my wife & 9 Year old son Matt, from section 4 row B and brought them, as a courtesy due to my sons height and impossibility to see anything at all, all the way the the far right (Stone Side Extreme) GA RAIL with wristbands and said "Enjoy the show, He should be up front"
This all took place during Evenflow, as I watched on!! My wife had no clue I saw this taking place from my section where I sat with my other son in the wing.. Then she starts waving and all that and I say have a blast, screw you you lucky bitch, I wave to my son and they go..
As the setlist proceeds I get to watch this EPIC fucking show, AND my wife & youngest son rock the rail together throughout!
Then came the end.... And they blew us away with one of MY family's favs, Fuckin Up. Place is jumpin, Band is kicking fucking ass, and I still got my right eye on my wife and son.. And then, there was Eddie, whom I just could have sworn I saw take a double take at my son... And sure as shit he did.. Dances on over, hops on that big as speaker or whatever that was over on the far right, points out my son (at this point I'm totally going BANANAS watching it all go down in sec 117!) and clears it for him to get something to him.. Then, tosses his new Batmobile picks (collector dad, uh oh!), and I then see my son smiling ear to ear, picks in hand and people around him trying to steal em, HA! My wife ain't just hot, that bitch can breathe fire so I wasn't worried a bit... Then Ed goes off, slinging tambourines and whatever else and I am ELATED! Super dad from afar! His older brother, the one sitting with me.. just as proud. Rocking out, flipping out and just straight up being FREE, the look in his eyes for the pride he had in HIS baby brother.. You wanna talk about making a man cry!!? Holy shit I damn near lost it!! Thank God Fuckin Up was playing! Haha
Then Indifference started... My kids took in their first ever witnessing of the closing of a PJ gig, and EPIC one at that, and then Ed gets his eyes on my kid again, my wife waves and says "Thank you" towards Ed. He then nodded her way to get to Matt (my son) and tosses down a setlist and security makes sure he got it
To say that tonight, was Epic. For me, would be an EXTREME understatement!! For everyone else, it was just Epic.
This was a highlight of my LIFE! My kids first gig, the INCREDIBLE setlist, my son getting to experience PJ in a way I have never even thought would happen, sitting with my first born son and taking this all in together, being me with my son and my son being HIM with ME!
That's it for now.. Gotta try to sleep. All in all.. Major thank you to the 2 Staff that upgraded my wife and son, and escorted them right to the rail..
AWESOME STORY! I am so happy for you and your family. Rock on.
Great show and great crowd. Personally the loudest crowd I have ever experienced at a concert. My second time seeing PJ at the XL Center and they just seem to really bring it there. Won't ever miss a Hartford stop.
Finally home to VT following Hartford and I don't think I will ever be part of a better crowd of people. I have often thought of the crowd collectively as the "7th member" of the band because it really is the synergy between the musicians and the crowd that make the show what it is. And last night, the crowd propelled the band to a level that I have simply never witnessed before by any crowd or any band. I am so thankful to have been part of it.
Last night was also my 11 year old's first show ever by any artist and now, I'm afraid the others that follow will never top this one. It was particularly special for us because he is a cancer survivor and is nearly 5 years out of treatment....which means we are nearly to the point where he can be considered cured! So, this show was his "coming out" party and what a party it was.
Thank you Pearl Jam and Hartford for an evening that will rank among the absolute best moments of my entire life.
Awesome show, Awesome People, Awesome Time. GA rocking the rail last half of the show on Stones side. Just want to thank a fellow 10C member for sharing her wine with me that she got from Eddie. You guys are the BEST!!!!!!
Hartford is always special, and I really felt it last nite. The crowd and PJ back and forth was incredible. So much energy! They seemed to be connecting with everyone of us. Ed picking the sign from those 2 guys from Miami, MC sign that Eddie couldn't figure out. Lol! A lot of eye contact and salutes from Eddie. Mike gave a signed copy of his vinyl to this girl up front, forgot her name but saw her in Worcester, adorable! Met lots a nice couples, ones with #5 on their hands. The girl with the shirt "setlist please" getting the setlist. So awesome! So many little moments on top of the music which makes the whole experience unforgettable! I took a moment to look around at the crowd during the last encore, absolutely insane! Thanks 10 club, PJ, and Hartford for one of the best nights !!! -George
I don't normally post but this show was something special - my 20th show started out a nightmare for me due to traffic from NYS and me thinkin I was going to miss the start .... But somewhere about 10 miles out of Hartford things started to click ... Traffic opened up , GPS took me to a parking garage just off my exit , $10 parking spot by the e it , crossed the street and got inside - 8:10 - looked at the beer lines and they were nuts - then a guy with a tray appeared next to me. .. 2 miller lite for 18 never tasted so sweet - in my seat by 8:20 and it was a peach - I bought a single on tm after a 10c lockout and ended up in section 101 row r - mikes side lower level toward the back - was a great seat. The two guys next to me were big fans and were awesome all night -.
The music as everyone says was fantastic - we couldn't believe how quick we got to the first break !
During that break - a. Beer guy randomly walked down the aisle - beer refreshed without leaving my seat as indifference closed out I left through the nearest exit and due to my awesome parking spot was back on 84 by 11:50 - thoroughly happy after what for me was probably the best single pj show I've been to except maybe the garden win Ben Harper .... Yeah second best show ever ......
Was on the rail dead center for this amazing show!!! I was the person who yelled out "World Wide Suicide" when Ed was introducing "Future Days"!!! Managed to hit four shows on the tour and this one took the cake!!! Thanx 10C GA rules!!!
Last night was my 4th of the tour and I think it was the best I saw. Worcester 1 had more of my favorite songs, but both felt amazing to be a pat of

EPIC .. I'm still on a high from last night's show .. I was so lucky to have seats on Mike's side right close to the stage so I could see everyone ... BOOM was extra cool last night and I had perfect view of him, Matt, and pretty much the entire band! Such energy from the band (they seemed to be even more into it/in a grove then ever) and the crowd was so good .. just amazing ... really feeling so blessed that I got to experience this show and can't wait for the boot to re-live it again and again!! Eddie was right in front of me twice when he climbed the ladder and a bit later on so that was wicked cool, too!!

Crazy loud from beginning to end. This what happens when you put Boston/NY fans together in an arena....
Simply amazing show. .......thank you PJ
Hey there were a bunch of us CT folks there too!
IMHO It was all one big happy family last night, the only negative vibes all night came from a few NRA types around me when Eddie was talking about Newtown.
I loved this, too! viewtopic.php?f=4&t=219644
Started freaking out when it started, and everyone else around us had no clue what the song was! I still can't believe they played it.
What a thrill last night was, the entire night. And to say that from nosebleed seats? I wasn't expecting much when I was forced way up to my seats, which very much feel disconnected to the band and the crowd, really. But the sound was so good, that all that was necessary was closing my eyes and really then feeling it all. AND, the crowd up at the top didn't sit down, unlike other shows. We were all standing and all getting into it. Definitely, a fantastic and loud crowd. It was THAT good.
Wow, we just got back from Hartford! A long way to go but what a show! What a crowd! Thank you PJ for another, amazing show. Hadn't heard the long road for a while, that was nice...and the GA area.....wonderful! Can,t wait to see you in Canada next year!!!
Feeling so so blessed to have been at this show! I was also at Brooklyn 2, and both Philly shows, but this one topped them all!! Special thanks to shetellsherself for the ticket upgrade-so awesome of you to do that for me!!! Thanks also to Mitch for the original tix (great that someone else got to use them and experience last night!) and to Bill, who I was very happy to meet and share the show with! (and to think, we were FB friends and I didn't even realize it! )
I can hardly even put into words what the show meant to me. When "Chloe/ Crown" started up, I felt the tears starting. It was so moving and beautiful-I have never had a reaction quite like that at a PJ concert. During the entire show, I was just in awe-in awe of the band, in awe of the crowd-I will never ever forget last night. I am so grateful to have been part of it all!!!
Thank you, PJ. No other band on earth compares with you-truly!!!
I am glad to have met both of you, and glad to have shared 3 amazing shows with you. I know we are both big fans who love the music first before anything else. So glad you were apart of this amazing week!
here is the video that I took of Eddie's gun control/Sandy Hook talk before wasted reprise (also included). as he wrapped up and the crowd cheered, they put my wife's "earth thank you" sign up on the big screen. they guy next to me tried to get my attention to have me see saw it with my eyes but too special of a moment to think to re-aim and grab it with the camera so i missed it! powerful moment for us and everyone. thank you, Eddie, for speaking such wise words. if anyone has a shot or video of her sign up on the screen, we would really like to show our kids. important for them to see these kinds of positive moments of supporting change in this big crazy world...especially when they love PJ and helped make the sign to thank them!

33 shows. Top 5 show. Crowd rocked into the sky boxes. Ed was clearly blown away by the response.
