It cracks me up how people make statements of opinion and try to present it as fact. I constantly hear people say certain songs are "overrated" or "terrible". I happen to love this song and won't be upset if I hear it at all 3 shows I attend. It's only my opinion of course, but the broad strokes some people use around here to paint is comical. In my humble opinion of course.

But aren't opinions just the facts as one person sees them?

No need to get all touchy about people not posting IMO every post. When I see a post like this it makes me wonder how secure some people are in their opinions.

Actually, i feel opinions are subjective not factual. But I understand your view. And I'm not getting "all touchy", merely stating "my opinion" on the topic. As far as the rest of your response, sorry but i don't understand what you are saying. Being secure in ones own opinion? That made me laugh a little:) either way, i love the song;)

I respectively disagree... Unknown Thought is a great concert song.... was there last night in Philly and the crowd reacted very positively to it....

Please play Unthought Known in Los Angeles II November 24, 2013. But please don't spike up the tempo.

It's an average song with PJ standards and should be played maybe once every 2-3 shows.

My opinion of course, they obviously play what they want :D And I understand why others like it

My sister and I love hearing Unthought Known at shows. It's one of my favorites off of Backspacer and I'm glad they play it often. It always gets a good crowd reaction, too.

I'd much rather hear Unthought Known and Got Some at shows than Amongst the Waves or The Fixer or Speed of Sound.

    It's a kids song?

great live band; plays 30+ songs every night; mixes each show up; on stage for 2.5+ hrs; reasonably priced tickets

and people just have to find something to complain about ... c'mon folks - this is at least a double :fp: with a head shake ...

It absolutely comes to life live. I'm always happy to hear it, glad it's in regular rotation. Also happens to be my favorite off of BS.

It's very enjoyable live, and I won't complain about hearing it. But, yeah, I wouldn't mind it being replaced with In Hiding or Force of Nature. Having heard Unthought at all 5 of my PJ shows is kind of uncanny.

Yeah, I'm not much of a fan because of some of the lyrics, but I think a lot of PJ fans really love this song a lot. So it's for them. :)

I agree. However, the song might be better than anything on lightning bolt. Should of just called the new album backspacer2

I could not disagree with you more. It is NOTHING like Backspacer (that really isn't even an opinion, but a fact), and 1000 times better (definitely opinion :P ).

Ugh. One of the worst PJ songs ever written. I don't understand why anyone would ever want to hear it live.... this song collecting makes sense to a point, but not when people want to hear HORRIBLE songs just so they can say they saw it.

Good point, and agreed. I'd definitely take a big handful other songs over Unthought, but when I do hear it I'm not upset, even having heard it at 5 of the 6 shows I've been to.

Yeah some of the setlist choices have been kinda strange. There were so many songs played at Philly 2 that were played at Brooklyn 2. Now I understand that there was a show between those two shows. But the exact same four opening songs just seemed odd. It actually seems as if setlists are getting a bit formulamatic. Pendulum > Three mellow songs > Rest of the first set. > Encore Break > Sit-down acoustic set > Four hard rockers > Encore Break > Covers/Hard Rockers/Alive > Songs with house lights up

It's definitely a hell of a lot better than Unthought Known IMO. But again, some people are so in love with Unthought Known that they get tattoos of the lyrics and shit. So I support it being played so that these folks are happy.

superfan or not. ive seen them TONS of times, and i dont gripe when they play something too much. maybe its just that, people seeing them too much. i love all of the rarities they play, but im also grateful for the fact they are still putting out new music and i still get to see them live. cant wait to hear all the ''are they really gonna play this song every night thread'' if and when they do stop. nothing lasts for ever. enjoy what you can, while you can.

Yeah, I definitely don't get complaining about them playing their great hits a lot. Not everyone at the show is a 10C member and goes to a bunch of shows. The majority of the people at the shows only see that one show, and want to hear the songs that PJ tends to play a lot.
