Thanks a bunch for these, you had a much better view of the show than I did!

I actually cried physical tears three times tonight (not like sobbing, but like when you're hormonal and water comes out of your eyes during commercials for the ASPCA). This happened 1) during Release when everyone sang, "I wait up in the dark..." 2) when everyone in the crowd around me spontaneously threw their hands in the air and sang "troubled souls unite!" and 3) when Eddie talked about Howard Zinn.

If you are skeptical of the GA fan club tickets, don't be, it was the best thing this band has ever done. I felt like I was seeing Pearl Jam in a small club but they only let people in if they can prove they truly love this music. Never felt a more intimate connection with any band in any setting. The band was clearly having a really good time too. Three hours start to finish and so much fun.

This was show #24 for me (1994-present) and definitely in the top three...but the whole experience was so unique it could be #1.

    - I legit shed tears for the first three songs. I could not believe I was seeing them in my home town, and I could not believe they played those three songs to start.

    Buy The Two Worcester Shows.
You'll get so many unique songs and only a handful of repeats.

IMO - Worcester 1 on 10/15 has one of the best Corduroy's that I've ever seen/heard.

  • It's the 3 year anniversary of this incredible show today on 10-15-16. This was the first PJ show i'd been to out of 33. I was just happy to finally see the band. I could have cared less what they played. I had no expectations. But had a feeling the first song that I would hear live was going to be Long Road. They actually opened up with Release into Long Road which was perfect. That 1-2 combination opened the door to something else. It was the start of an unexplainable journey.

They played so many of my favorite songs at the time...Long Road, Hail, Hail, a run including Nothing As It Seems, Whipping, and Red Mosquito, Cordoroy, Save You, Leash. They just f'n rocked that first set! Out of all the first sets i've heard live, it's got to be somewhere in my top 7. The bar is set really high. I didn't know the song Fatal too well at the time unfortunately and neither did the band probably (having only played it 4 times previously haha). They left it ALL out there on night 1. They didn't have as much energy for night 2, and for good reason.

It seems like just yesterday...i'll never forget those two shows. It was nice seeing them in my home state, but I never thought i'd be traveling to different states and countries to see any band. I connected with it so deeply that there was just no way I couldn't. There's so many reasons why we all travel to see all these shows.

Who would have thought they'd be playing at Fenway Park 3 years later and opening up with Release into Long Road once again. It gave me some of the deepest chills i've ever had. It felt like a life review or some kind of reflective flashback. They just know how to connect with their fans, and they know what to play at every show. It's always perfect.
