Am I the only one thats not really arsed with one in their home countries?! I'm just looking for another excuse to go travelling :D
Yep and this time I will follow most of the tour and won't have any regret not doing it like in 06.
Oh ... and if they tour Australia and New Zealand I'm going there ...

I have to admit, Poland didn't really rise to the occassion when PJ were here. Half the crowd were there to see Linkin Park supporting(!)
So, give us another chance guys and come back to Katowice - or better still, play BERLIN or PRAGUE. The indoor Skanska or T-Mobile arenas there would be like msg gigs...
Well, my countryman is right... but the only problem was - two well-known rock bands on one concert. It was a mess, i couldn't feel the vibe... anyway - (why everybody says Katowice? Because it's easier than Chorzów? ) It was NOT in Katowice last year... In Katowice They were in 2000, They played two concerts then!
So... I hope Pearl Jam will come to Katowice and play as They did 8 years ago:)

Yeah, I've been to Silesia and Slaski Stadium several times and I know that this venue is not exactly in the heart of the "capital" of the region:rolleyes:...only some hundred meters from that c'mon, Chorzow is a suburb of Katowice - just like Leganes (of Madrid)

i walked from the stadium and then got on a tram outside of the Spodek arena!
it is not too far but it is when you go the long way, at night, when you have been standing all day!

No, U are wrong. You may think this way, because many Silesia's cities are very close to each other and it seems like it's one big city, but Chorzów is still separate city. The same like Bytom, Zabrze, Mysłowice, Ruda Śląska. Even Sosnowiec, which is close to Katowice, but... it's not Silesia already. It's "basin" or... I don't know the name in english.
BTW. If You were on Stadium Śląski You could see the sign about 200 meters farther, which inform from this place begins Katowice. But Stadium is still in Chorzów:)

_shudder_ thats the last place you want them playing...
ideally somewhere like Slane, but since that gonna happen, most likely the new point depot.
Pearl Jam must come to Slovenia again. They played an amazing show in Ljubljana in 2000. They practised a ping pong before the show if anyone still remembers and during the first encore they put a ping pong table onto the stage. i thought they were gonna play ping pong during the show ha ha ha

Or they should come and play Wroclaw Hala Ludowa, I can walk to the gig
Not a huge venue, could be a great atmosphere. If they are playing a big tour then a few smaller venues could be great, as Stadion Slaski was a bit big once the Linkin Park fans had gone home early to be

I agree, it's one big sprawl of towns, but they are seperate. The English name is The Upper Silesian Industrial Area.
Poland, so why Silesia?
I would see Pearl Jam in Warsaw, they were there once and long time ago. What's more, Warsaw is the capital of Poland, with more than 2 million people and is set in the centre of the country...
Wherever they would play, I would certainly go to see the great gig
