...erm, 'co-headline'? I think notas much as I like and prefer PJ to U2, their popularity in Europe (and I'm guessing the world) is pretty much on a different scale.
It would be U2 with 'special guests' PJ......and the ticket would be double what it usually costs, if you could get hold of one...and the set would be half.
Sorry, I hope they steer clear, stick to their own showsI came, I saw, I concurred.....0 -

That would be horrible.Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,
Dusseldorf 21/06/07, Manchester 17/08/09, London 18/08/09, LA 06/10/09, LA 07/10/09.
Ain't gonna be any middle anymore.0 -
I have to admit, Poland didn't really rise to the occassion when PJ were here. Half the crowd were there to see Linkin Park supporting(!)
So, give us another chance guys and come back to Katowice - or better still, play BERLIN or PRAGUE. The indoor Skanska or T-Mobile arenas there would be like msg gigs...we're all going to the same place...0 -

Why Germany? They cant even sell out their tickets. Come to Scandinavia. That would be a complete sell out.Rock Werchter 4 july - 2010, Arras 3 july - 2010, Berlin Wuhlheide - June 30, 2010, Odyssey arena Belfast - 23 june 2010, O2 arena Dublin - june 22 2010, O2 arena London - Aug 18, 2009, Manchester Evening News Arena - Aug 17, 2009, Berlin Wuhlheide - Aug 15, 2009, Copenhagen 2007-06-26 Forum, London 2007-06-18 Wembley Arena, Prague 2006-09-22 Sazka Arena, Denmark 2000-06-30 Roskilde Festival, Stockholm on August 12th Mirrorball tour with Neil Young, Oslo 1993-06-27 Isle of Calf Festival(Kalvoya), Oslo Secret Club Concert 1993-06-26 Sentrum Scene0 -
you do all realise that the credit crunch is doing its best to put paid to a UK or euro tour anytime soon, Now the dollar is strongly regaining on the pound and euro the financial incentive to tour is diminishing.
Ed only said 18 months ago, that US acts were far more inclined to tour the UK, given the dollar was so weak, so a 35 ticket here would be fetching 70 bucks for them back home, whereas their tickets were only 40 bucks back home, he basically said that due to album sales being knocked by the internet this was the best way to increase revenue.
Now the pound is falling like a stone, I think the chances of a iommediate tour are very poor..and that really pisses me off.
Another reason to detest Gordon Brown in some bizarre roundabout way0 -

It's not just that the pound is falling, but the dollar is recovering as well. That said, the tour is still gonna happen. It was cost us more this time around, but barring some severely massive plummet, I wouldn't see them pulling it off the table. They're still gonna be stacking serious paper from the festival dates they'll be doing. My Pearl Jam Photos

Yes, a full show with both Pearl Jam and U2 in one day would be horrible.Rock Werchter 4 july - 2010, Arras 3 july - 2010, Berlin Wuhlheide - June 30, 2010, Odyssey arena Belfast - 23 june 2010, O2 arena Dublin - june 22 2010, O2 arena London - Aug 18, 2009, Manchester Evening News Arena - Aug 17, 2009, Berlin Wuhlheide - Aug 15, 2009, Copenhagen 2007-06-26 Forum, London 2007-06-18 Wembley Arena, Prague 2006-09-22 Sazka Arena, Denmark 2000-06-30 Roskilde Festival, Stockholm on August 12th Mirrorball tour with Neil Young, Oslo 1993-06-27 Isle of Calf Festival(Kalvoya), Oslo Secret Club Concert 1993-06-26 Sentrum Scene0

I'm just looking for a good reason to go to Berlin, cos people have told me it is nice... and it is the easiest train journey from here. Purely selfish reasons.we're all going to the same place...0 -

Yes Berlin is a very nice town, but you should try Bergen to :-) Hope some in the group speak to Neil Young about Bergen and the venue Koengen because he loved it.Rock Werchter 4 july - 2010, Arras 3 july - 2010, Berlin Wuhlheide - June 30, 2010, Odyssey arena Belfast - 23 june 2010, O2 arena Dublin - june 22 2010, O2 arena London - Aug 18, 2009, Manchester Evening News Arena - Aug 17, 2009, Berlin Wuhlheide - Aug 15, 2009, Copenhagen 2007-06-26 Forum, London 2007-06-18 Wembley Arena, Prague 2006-09-22 Sazka Arena, Denmark 2000-06-30 Roskilde Festival, Stockholm on August 12th Mirrorball tour with Neil Young, Oslo 1993-06-27 Isle of Calf Festival(Kalvoya), Oslo Secret Club Concert 1993-06-26 Sentrum Scene0 -
If they play anywhere in England, I'm flying over for sure and staying with a friend. That would be so perfect! Especially if it was in the summer! One can only dream...

Come to ISTANBUL!! I'm living here teaching english as a second language and I'd be willing to pack in some die hard fans sardine style in my apt...apparently they have played here but not since 1996 and I would give an arm and a leg to see them here...13 years is enough of a wait I think....its a wonderful city.
Plus, it is in both Europe and Asia so they can kill two birds with one Stone...and one Mike and one Ed and one Matt and one Jeff...and of course...one big BOOM0 -

Some comments regarding the last pages:
- I agree a co-headline tour with U2 would be AWFUL;
- They should return to Germany....yeah then didn't sell out the gigs but remember the shows at Munich and Düsseldorf.... those were GREAT gigs! I was at Munich and sure regretted not to go one show further from London to Düsseldorf! And I agree that Berlin this time would be COOL!
- and last but not the least and quite obvious.... I sure hope they return to PortugalCascais 24.11.96 Cascais 25.11.96
