I wonder why they changed their formula of the new title not having five syllables? I read somewhere that the first few albums were done by accident and then they continued out of superstition. I guess they aren't anymore or just don't care though I thought it was cool.

It is 5 syllables still, WALLS = We are like love songs. I'm liking the album more with each listen, but definitely seems lazy at times. Really not a fan of Over or Around the World. Some tracks are much better than anything they've done recently tho. Vinyl sounds nice, but my copy from Amazon was FILTHY

Nice. Didn't know it was an acronym as I just heard the name don't have the album yet.

This song and Over are just super boring for me. The two flat out duds on the album in my opinion. Eyes on You and Find me are excellent.

well obviously it's not their best work but people are buying the album. They reached #2 on the charts with Mechanical Bull and Come Around Sundown. Only By the Night reached #4 in The US on the billboard charts

Why the hell are they covering Selena Gomez in concert? You never saw White Stripes covering Britney or GnR covering NKOTB. I hate to be that "get off my lawn" grouch at age 36 but fuck it. They're Radio Disney sellouts now and this makes Caleb a douchebag hypocrite for complaining about soccer mom crowds years ago.

ISO 2 GA tickets for Chicago if anyone knows of any. Thanks.

Kind of crazy to me that for the Philly show, the Chili Peppers sold out instantly, and yet 3+ hours after the KOL show went on sale you can still get great LOWER level seats. Weird.

too bad we won't be seeing them in the smaller venues anymore. Their shows at the TLA were great.

they electric factroy shows were pretty good except the one in '07 which i don't remember that well. the one in '05 was god and the one in '08 was really good i though. I almost forgot they headlined the tower also in '07 which was good except security was a pain in the ass. i won't count the first time they played the tower since that was in '03 and they were the opening band.

I saw them in 08 at electric factory in Phily too. We're awesome. I originally saw them by accident in NYC when they were opening for Ben Kweller in 2003. They blew everyone away and could tell they were on their way. For people upset they covered Selena Gomez, did you listen to the cover? It's amazing. It's like a completely different song.
  • My favorite tracks off the new album:

    Reverend
    Find Me
  • Got this on high rotation the past 8 days. I think it might be my favorite release of 2016 so far along with Michael Kinowauka's Love & Hate.

A lot of people on here digging the new album--I'll have to give it a chance. Last time I saw them live in 2014, I thought the show was very disappointing, so I didn't shell out for this upcoming tour. Maybe I'll change my mind closer to day of show though, especially with Deerhunter opening.

it's a really good album. I wasn't a huge fan of their last couple of releases, but there isn't a dud track on Walls.
