    From the article:
"Somalia's Islamic extremist group al-Shabab claimed responsibility and said the attack was retribution for Kenyan forces' 2011 push into Somalia. The rebels threatened more attacks."

So is this a manifestation of a religious belief or a power struggle?

so their version of corrupt is bad but ours is good?

    of course its about religion.

On our end its the misguided belief that we should impose the God of Democracy across the world, exploit other nations while worshipping at the altar of The God of Oil, while sucking the dick of the God of Money and Greed.

Meanwhile in other parts of the world its the same power struggle of "my version of a god is better than your version of the same god but we both want to be in the power position".

so tell me how is it that its not always about religion?

It still gets me that people are still saying over 1,000,000 Iraqis are dead. That would mean almost 400 people died every day for 7 years straight. That is ridiculously high, just like the people who produced that number.

Islam’s success comes primarily from its politics. In thirteen years as a spiritual leader, Mohammed converted 150 people to his religion. When he became a political leader and warrior, Islam exploded in growth, and Mohammed became king of Arabia in ten years.

Muslims / Islamist use the religion aspect so they can explode Americans thinking that they have to be tolerant of everything.

even that is about religion. American Goverment that is. And its about imposing religious beliefs on those that believe differently on a host of subjects.

  • Paint it any way you want- government, religion- but everything boils down to Us and Them.

I don't have time to completely express my thoughts on this matter, but I wonder if it is our natural tendency to seek to belong to groups or if we condition ourselves to seek a sense of belonging?

For example, do kids sport/school pride/clubs/national anthems/churches/etc. teach us the values we think they are teaching... or do they teach kids that one should identify themselves with the group they are associated with- ultimately shaping mentalities that require divisiveness?

They can explode Americans?? In fairness the way some of yee eat, I reckon Americans have that one covered off themselves.

So what's the deal here, you're pissed because they allowed Muslims to leave? Maybe they should have acted more American and wasted every person in sight.

What has happened is a fucking tragedy, regardless of colour or creed. Stop getting your panties in such a twist.

I am not happy that Islam is trying to take over the world by killing people....I am saddened that people were killed.....the only thing that pisses me off is people not seeing what is happening.....acting as I said something wrong....The damned U.S. Government exploits Americans why is it so hard to believe someone else could?

Amazing this still continues on. Heard this morning about explosions at the mall while hostages are still being held there.

Yes, it is indeed fucked up if they gave some, for whatever fucked up reason, the blessed opportunity to flee before taking the lives of dozens and wounding even more.

(but hey, I heard the Emmys kicked ass last night)

i can't even keep up with this bullshit. would you all like to hear the truth about quite a few things? babies, the whole entire fucking lot; from here to there, up & down, everywhere... fucking babies

there are some countries i would not ever label as babies. they be pollite, honest & decent hard working folks who don't give a frig about what religion is who. the middle eastern countries & some other regions of the world are immature cry baby little shits who may have had rough lives but wow, they sure have their panties on a bit tight & the way women & girls are treated.... fucking unreal

i call immature cry babies who can't handle situations without extreme violence where countless have been blown to smithereens

humans are like a terrible plague set out to annoy like a home infested w/ lice or a mut infected w/ disease; we are people, congratulations

There have been several reports that Mosque compounds here in America are being used to train terrorist.
Could this be graduates Ahmed Mohamed Isse, 22, “native” of St. Paul, Minn., Abdifatah Osman Keenadiid, 24, of Minneapolis, and Gen Mustafe Noorudiin, 27, of Kansas City, Mo.
CAIR has also wielded its power to silence critics of the Al Qaeda offshoot—Somalia’s Al Shabaab—that stormed into the mall, murdered at least 68 and took dozens of hostages.
CAIR, an Islamic terrorist front group that reportedly raises money for Hamas, has interfered with the U.S. government’s investigation into this operation. A few years ago it actually hampered an FBI probe into the disappearance of dozens of Twin Cities Somali men. Many in the local Somali community denounced CAIR’s actions, saying that the group was actually discouraging them from cooperating with the FBI.
Yet last year President Obama’s deputies held hundreds of closed-door meetings with CAIR officials. Little information was discussed publicly about the secret sessions, but the news organization that broke the story quoted a White House director saying that government departments and agencies discussed a “range of issues.”

Around the same time, the FBI purged its anti-terrorism training curricula of material determined to be “offensive” to Muslims. Judicial Watch uncovered this scandal and obtained the FBI records just a few weeks ago. CAIR is not specifically named but the records show that an undisclosed group of “Subject Matter Experts” (SME) determined the federal training material was offensive to Muslims. Just last month, several police departments in Illinois cancelled their anti-terrorism training because CAIR complained that the instructor was blatantly anti-Muslim.

I hate when people label Islam as the war religion.

Not all Muslims are pro-blowing shit up. Many are peaceful people.

Let's not forget Catholics (which I am one) wiped out many people in the Crusades. Some White Supremacists are violent and they believe they are doing what they believe is right and right under God (but I believe for most its strictly just a race thing and not religion related). Basically what I am saying non-Islamic people have done some horrible shit and still do.

We cannot just label people. It's wrong.

Yes most terrorists are Muslims but not all Muslims are terrorists.

The ones that are terrorists are EXTREMISTS. People need to understand that.

and those catholic crusades were disgusting & very criminal to say the least. sure there are extremists all over & with all sorts of groups of folks. it seems though that the middle eastern extremists are quite ready to rock & are on one hell of a roll. it is their turn i guess. but hasn't it been their turn for-like-ever?
