Dealing with public shit sucks. The DMV is hell, the IRS is awful, student loan paperwork is dreadful, and now we Americans have to slog our way through government bullshit to see a doctor? And there are actually people actively supporting this terrible mess? Damn, Obama is the greatest politician EVER! People would argue for him while being burned at the stake after he lit the torch. Scary stuff...

in NC many of the DMV's are run by contract providers...and those are the f-n worst...true story...

not sure what your issue is with the IRS...I just use Taxact and have my refund in a couple weeks via direct deposit...easy peasy...

Student loan paperwork is dreadful...? yeah, it's hard to fill out paperwork for a loan...lolz....

How many websites stand up to sudden bursts of activity on par with what this one is experiencing? How well did Ticketmaster do during the last Pearl Jam onsale?

Anyone who has coverage through the end of the year should wait it out and try to sign up once things calm down.

Mr. Obama is living in the White House so now the federal beauracracy is suddenly going to work real hard to make sure everyone is taken care of?

Get real. Federal government pulling levers in hospitals will ruin one more thing that made America great.

LOL. Nothing about your healthcare system is great, it is in fact one of America's greatest embarrassments, it's an international laughing stock.

Pearl Jam is not running our life or health....and when we order a ticket we all know what we are getting, if you did not know what you were getting would you buy it...or anything else for that matter?

    I'll tell you what:

Aside from understanding hyperbole and what it (doesn't) mean in the context of an internet discussion:

I will give you a year to learn how to create an interactive website that can handle millions of visitors (and transactions) a day without any server crashes or moderate downtime. You may hire up to 10 people. Possible entities you might want to consult for guidance: Facebook, Tenclub, Ticketmaster.

Please come back and post about your experience.

Just posting my frustration with healthcare.
My wife's doctor thinks she may have an uncommon disorder that amplifies her arthritis more. Closest specialist is almost 3 hours away. It took a few weeks for the referral to go through. She heard back last night.....next available appointment is January 2026! Yes, 2026.
I understand it's a specialist and there's just limited doctors, but over a year? Come on.

My wife is looking at other doctors, but the closest specialist is 3 hours away. Which is why he's so backed up. So a local doctor isn't an option.

I meant going to a different local general practitioner - just a regular doctor. The terms you used "she may have" and "uncommon disorder" suggests to me that perhaps another regular doctor may have seen this condition before. Worth a try, seeing as she has to wait a year to see the specialist anyway.
