The drafts will be snaking. We will figure out how to pick the order randomly/fairly. I was thinking maybe by 10c #.
I think pulling names out of a hat would be more random.
Or if we use 10club #, then picking a random number from 0-500,000 and starting the first pick as the next highest. (Ex: random number generator 0-500,000 pulls 370,000. The first pick would go to the person with the number above 370,000.)

What I was thinking is each Conference is independant w/ the prizes, so it would be 11 for each winner. Top points overall gets bragging rights. Then the winner of each Conference faces off and tries to guess the most accurate setlist for the 2nd Seattle show which may or may not get announced.
Yes for live drafts. I guess we have enough time where someone could easily rank their songs and we can pick for them.
I would think a draft would take less than an hour barring any delays.

Yeah. The 10c Number is just another step in chasing down 24 or 36 people. Out of a hat would probably be better now that I am thinking of it.

So we have quite a bit of time. We can think of rules or ways to make it smoother/better. The hard part is getting everything put together. Once the tour starts it will be quite fun.
The next step would be to "organize" the prize pledges.
How it was normally done was everyone would declare what they were going to give to the winner (one option was bootleg of choice from Goods section). Then they would PM their address to the organizer of the pool. At the end, the organizer provides the address to each participant to send the goods to the victor.
Does that sound right? Anyone have issues with addresses going to me, then others if you win? Anyone have a better way?
EDIT: this list is from before Wrigley and London. So add a song or two to some of these. In any event, this is a close approximation (shouldn't make much difference for draft purposes).

This works for me. I'm open to "unique" gift ideas too. Bootlegs are cool, or something comparable from the shop. We could even leave it as simple as that: "new bootleg or something comparable." Given that it's all for fun, I'm not worried about anyone cheating the system when they have to pay me my victory prize.

I pledge winners bootleg of choice (or something else for comparable price) from the goods section.
Should we PM you addresses now or wait til we finalized the list of pledges?

I am in for the bootleg "pledge" if thats what everyone wants to do...I was kind of thinking of comparables as I have done a bunch of DIY PJ shirts, pins, magnets, etc that are super unique, but boots is fine.
I guess we just keep checking this thread for what we players Re supposed to do next?

yes. It has been successfully done before. I won a Superbowl pool and the following weeks, receiving 20 packages of goodies was amazing. Also helped me finish out my 2010 set.
Yeah, I would say that we could go Bootleg or comparable. Also the homebrew stuff would be alright, but the person should have the choice of boot or homebrew creation (personally I would probably be interested in homebrew but this would take away any accusation/perception of "cheaping out" or anything).
Everyone can pledge what they want. Im gonna look through my boots and see what I have. Probably going to give a choice between something I own and winners' choice from goods.
It looks like we are going to have enough for the AMENT CONFERENCE. However, it is going to get tough to manage >24 people. I wonder if we can get someone to manage that one? Ill update the OP tomorrow with the names and maybe we can figure it out.
We have to make sure we include MYM, Lightning Bolt, and Future Days (and whatever else comes out before we choose)

This works for me. I'm open to "unique" gift ideas too. Bootlegs are cool, or something comparable from the shop. We could even leave it as simple as that: "new bootleg or something comparable." Given that it's all for fun, I'm not worried about anyone cheating the system when they have to pay me my victory prize.

Wow the new songs will definitely be a wild card...could hear some new ones every show or like 1-2 like supersonic lol. This will be interesting especially if we haven't heard them yet lol. Just going by track names
