    CAMERON conference draft started!

For the most part, the "reserves" on page 1 of the thread most all responded, with a few exceptions. We have a full slate of 12.

Check your emails, I believe I successfully shared a google doc sheet with each of you and sent an instruction email out. If you didn't get it, let me know.

    Happy drafting!

I need to start thinking about my strategy now....

Yeah, when you get comfortable, send me your list of users so I can add the Cameron Conference to the OP.

My team is looking solid so far. Got Sleight of Hand 5th overall (I had it handicapped as a #1), and Army Reserve in Round 2. I believe both of those get played, and not more than 3x.

I have the second pick in the draft. So i have to wait til the first pick is made right? Reason i'm asking I saw someone already made their pick already and their draft number was like 11 or something. :?

And the other trick is not picking a "rarity" that's hasn' been played much over the years, only to find out that that's the song they're rehearsing and busting out for this tour (think: Red Mosquito in 2009; 23x from 2000-2008, 15x on 2009 tour alone).

That will be the fun of this: seeing who picked a "solid rarity" with historical assurances that it won't be played much, only to see it get played 10+ times on this tour.

I added your name, and the last one 8bitj.

The latest conference tapped the Reserve list pretty good.... but Im sure once everyone chimes in excited about their teams/drafts, etc, more people will be enthused.

If we get to 12 more reserves, I will manage the fifth. I guess this would have to be the VEDDER conference. Or the BOOM conference.... Sounds like the draft will take a while, we could leave it open for another couple weeks at most.

This has been the most fun I have had doing a fantasy draft in a while... Football is fun but this really hits home... May have to buy seats to Seattle just to be there for the last chance plays

Thanks MayDay10 for making August less dull...

    Thats illegal.
You can pay top money for the best seats in the house and hold up a Light Years sign. Influencing the outcome.

Gossard Conference is into Round 4! Its very well policed/run by the participants which I appreciate (tough week with Jury Duty, planning a stag, a baby, and a business trip).

    I agree 100%

I have played Fantasy Baseball, Football, Golf, NASCAR, etc...I have studied for this more than I have studied for any draft I have ever done before.

A brilliant idea and definitely keeps me engaged since the closest PJ comes to Atlanta is Charlotte.

    Kudos to MayDay10

Do you mean where is the list of songs to choose from? There is a second tab in the document - the list is there. :)

The list has every song on it, but it's helpful because it shows how many times each song has been played before, and necessary because you're supposed to highlight the song you pick on that list so that no one else picks it.

pretty much this, gut and looking at the stat tracker. Hoping the songs i pick get played at least once, but not a whole lot. Go for a few rare choices or songs that get played a few times during their tours :?

Im mainly shooting from the hip... Going for songs I am fairly confident they will play only a few times. Plus sprinkle in a little personal preference.
Sleight of Hand was sound-checked for Wrigley so I gave that a go at the #5 overall pick. I figure they should play Army Reserve one time (I hope)... and Wash.
