and morello, yes, you should check out EMP, not sure if the Nirvana exhibit will still be there or not, but it is a really great exhibit.

Lisa, so want to be there!

Jen, EMP is awesome... Spent two days there when I was in Seattle!
Oh wow! Yay, yay, yay, it's definitely on my list for Seattle. :D

I have a Portland GA to trade for a Seattle. Ideally GA for GA.

but, you live in Utah! Aren't you the one who complains because there is 3 feet of snow on your dish in the middle of summer?

We made the drive 6 years or something with no problems until that one time, and haven't gone across during the holidays since.

See you in Portland AND Spokane!

DamianK, and hamma, not sure what your budget is, or where you'd like to stay-closer to downtown or closer to the venue, what amenities do you want? Pool, gym, valet parking, close to restaurants?

I have a recommendation for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Seattle. I've just stayed at the Silver Cloud Inn on Lake Union 3 weeks ago,

    http://www.silvercloud.com/seattlelakeunion/

It's a really good base for getting around the city and is within walking distance of the Key Arena providing you don't mind walking around 2 miles. Besides, the hotel runs free shuttles to the base of the Space Needle which is where the arena is and the EMP (highly recommended). The hotel is very reasonably priced and has free (yes FREE!) parking and breakfast. If you have a ticket for the Seattle gig my advice would be to book this hotel now. Anyone going to the Portland show should know that there is also a Silver Cloud Inn there but it's a few miles from the venue. Again, i was there a short while back.

My wife and I have a timeshare in Seattle that we are able to rent if anyone is interested-right in the heart of downtown. Walking distance from the show (1.6 miles away) in a safe neighborhood, close to all the hotspots-Pike Place Market, Space Needle, EMP, shopping, restaurants. We have a studio that sleeps 2 and a 1-bedroom that sleeps up to 4. We just stayed at that timeshare in June-it was awesome! Super clean and the amenities were great-mini kitchen with refrigerator, cable tv, VCR, DVD player, stereo with CD player, telephone, hair dryer, heated pool, heated hot tub, common barbecue area, laundry room, shared computer with Internet, wifi in lobby, fitness center, business center, on-site concierge, activities center, valet.
PM me if you'd like more details and a link to pictures. Thanks

I'll vote for Feedback lounge as a place to congregate. It's a cool place and West Seattle is less likely to be super crowded.

Have I mentioned yet how stoked I am to make my first ever visit to Seattle, and to see PJ play a fucking GREAT, last show on their tour???

I was hoping that the Seahawks had a home game this weekend so I could catch that on Sunday, but they play at San Fran. Was looking forward to being part of the 12th Man!!

Do you have an 'in' with them? I'm sure they won't mind a bunch of PJ fans taking over the place, but I'd like to warn them.

Also if anybody stays down there, there is an express bus that runs straight downtown 10 minutes, and they can take a bus/cab back. I'm probably gonna call up an uber car for the ride home. 8-)

I'm not sure on budget yet, more interested in being in a good spot for exploring Seattle. Is it best being downtown or closer to the venue? Parking isn't an issue for me as I won't be hiring a car. Thanks for your help, very much appreciated!

Well, we don't have any sweet concrete dinosaurs like they do in Cabazon, but we do have a concrete troll under a bridge... And... Oh, Pearl Jam... But you probably already knew about that. See you in Dec. ;)

Hey guys and girls. My name is Jake and I'm looking for 2 extra tix to the Seattle show for myself and Grant (DubG). Grant will be my +1 for The Wrigley show... I posted a mini-contest and stated that I would take a fellow Tenclub member as my guest. Grant won the competition and we're pretty good buds now. After lots of chatting, we both decided to try and make it up to Seattle for the final show on the tour. If anyone has a +1 so that Grant and myself can attend that would be awesome. Of course, no sweat if you don't... there's always the ticketmaster option next Saturday. However, I thought I would try the forum first as I'm sure there are other Tenclub members who would return a favor or two because that's what we do around here. Thanks in advance! Hope to see you in Seattle. Cheers. Jake B.
