There is also the rumoured Key Arena shows in December, which would go with that theory. I hope if they are doing two legs like that they announce them all at once.

I'm patiently waiting for European tour dates with the same problem as the original posting, come October my partner will have to book holidays for April 2014-March 2015! (Please please let him be out of this job soon!) If tour dates aren't out he WILL be throwing sickies as this time we'll be doing a couple of dates and the phone will be turned off to save the 3 calls a day he gets from work when he's off!

Being realistic... I can't see them releasing tour dates until the new album is complete (as with Backspacer if my memory serves me right)... what we do know is that it'll be hellish trying to get tickets but that when we get there it will be worth all the blood, sweat and tears to do so!

I hear ya. My issue is that Sept 28th I have a wedding to attend and then another two weeks later. So...what do you want to bet that one of my likely dates fall at the same time!

    source?

A friend met a fellow fan in a bar. The fan said he had a buddy that worked at the First Niagara Center and said it's legit. Granted, a loudmouth in a bar isn't the most reliable source.

 Some PA mates were chatting while refreshing at a beer truck and mentioned something about Philly mid to late October...perhaps all these barflys will unite at show...but then again maybe not ;)
got a car...got some gas...oh let's get out of here-get out of here fast...
I hope you get this message but your not home...I will be there in just a minute or so...
I want to go but I want to go with you.

Have to agree with OP, patience is starting to wear a little thin. Actually had a dream last night that I was finally reading the list of tour cities and dates, and Denver was on it (I know, I was dreaming...) but I couldn't get back to the screen with the dates, and since I have about 3 fall trips/commitments already quasi planned but not booked (til PJ tour is announced).... well, it was a happy but frustrating dream.

With so many loyal fans willing to spend time and $ to travel to these shows, the "make sure your 10c membership is up to date" FB post weeks ago, followed up with nothing, is not a feel-good.

I've also heard of venues on hold for PJ in Anaheim and San Jose in November.

I'm thinking the first leg of the tour will be the north east/east coast, midwest, and south in October - ending in New Orleans for Voodoo fest the first of November. A week off and then the second leg of the tour with a few dates to go through Denver, Texas, Vegas, and west coast thru Seattle for the rest of November/maybe early December.

    Maybe yeah?

San Jose could be first weekend of November based on what's booked there and in Anaheim.

I just kind of find it hard to believe that the last show of their tour this year will be a festival. Especially if you really read into the wording of their official announcement for Voodoo Fest:

"As mentioned previously, Pearl Jam is expected to announce a host of Fall U.S. tour dates. We anticipate the band's Voodoo performance to be the final show of that series of dates."

Of course, this is really reading into it (probably way too much) - but the key wording is "a host of Fall U.S. tour dates" and "We anticipate.....to be the final show of that series of dates."
    :

I actually just caught this last week. That "series" wording is odd. Since the announcement was made, I've been operating under the assumption that it said "to be the final show of the tour," which it doesn't. Now, with the additional Soundgarden Euro dates leaving Matt in Europe until at least 9/18 or so, it seems likely that the band won't play anywhere until late September at the earliest.

...and, IF their recent touring history is any indicator as to how this year will play out, they've been averaging 6 week tours, with two 3 week legs, a week off in between each, and around (this is rough) 13-14 shows during each three week leg. If they follow their recent US touring pattern, they could either play: (1) one three week tour and crank out 13-14 shows, ending at Voodoo Fest, or (2) play one three week leg, starting in early October, with leg one ending at Voodoo Fest, and then another leg starting up the second week of November.

What it comes down to is whether the phrase "series of dates" means "end of tour" or whether it means "end of leg one." Either way, it's clear that some dates will for sure be in October. Whether it's leg one or the whole tour, remains to be scene. Meanwhile...it's excrutiating...

I'm to the point where I almost don't even care anymore. Either tour or don't. I hate all the misdirection that goes on with this band now. They hype a series of shows built around festivals or gimmicky venues (Wrigley). Just play some damn music! Play smaller venues if you can't sell out arenas anymore.

They don't owe me anything. They don't need to tell us anything. Just stop making it such a secret every time a tour is in the works.

I was also wondering how moonlander release date 6/25 (?) might effect the tour announcement if at all.

Announce tour before which would generate more site traffic and more people to hear about/be excited for/buy moonlander. Or would this risk moonlander getting buried??

Announce tour after moonlander release to let it have it's moment first.

Probably has no impact on tour announcement :?

That July date sounds about right. Maybe even a bit later if the dates are mostly in October.

Yeah... It would make sense from a sales perspective to announce the dates just before London/Wrigley and the release of "Mind Your Manners", when PJ fever reaches it's apex amoungst the fanbase.

Once stadiums/arenas officially sign them and confirm them, I would think dates will leak with local vendor sites.

As others have said, I think a July announcement a week or two before Wrigley is imminent. It seems the most logical. I firmly believe they will have two legs during this tour - one leg in October that goes through the north east/east coast, a few midwest dates, and then the south which ends in New Orleans in early November. The second leg will then start a week or two after New Orleans and will go through the west and west coast to end in Seattle in early/mid December.

An announcement in July would be 3-4 months out from that tour schedule, which is the norm - and will allow no distractions for Stone's new album release, allow the hype machine to rev up even more, release the first single and possibly new album announcement.....and mostly, drive us all fucking insane.
