  • I have a sick feeling they are waiting until after Wrigley to announce the tour.
No idea why as their profit margin for that show is safe being as the tix and packages are already sold out.

With other bands announcing fall shows I can't see it being building availablity unless it's one or two pesky arena's being a bitch...OR this supposid tour is going to have a bunch of festival dates and PJ can't say anything until the promoters say it's ok. That said last year at this time we knew about Deluna Fest, MIA and Atlanta, so no idea.

It depends on how deep in the fall it starts. Soundgarden tours in September, so it most like starts in Early October (maybe late september at the earliest).

That makes us 3 or 4 months out? I guess yah we're right in the zone for announcements?

I'm gonna guess & say that on July 10th, the next PJ newsletter, will be the date where that email will include PJ Fall Tour Dates. Along with info on that "Man Your Manners" mumbo jumbo!

Oh I definitely think the tour is booked and has been for a while. It doesn't take long to book a tour only a few days. A promoter in Connecticut said over a month ago there will be a show in Hartford at a specific arena and radio stations in Albany and philly have been saying there will be shows at specific venues in their cities. So they ate sitting on this and not announcing for some reason. Only thing I can think of is they wanna announce the new album at the same time. So the hold up is waiting for all the details on the new album. Someone over at grungereport claims everything will be announced on July 8th.
    Summerfest 7/8/95

that makes sense, album related hold ups, more than still trying to lock in venues. I've heard more east coast rumors than west (other than seattle). Is this still the case?

I would actually love November dates for 2 reasons:
    1. My birthday is nov 22nd and I have never seem any band on my birthday let alone my favorite.
    2. I am seeing NIN 3 times in oct and I don't want any conflict.

I just hope the promoter of voodoo fest saying PJ will wrap up their tour at voodoo got it backwards and that show will actually kick it off 8-)

Pearl Jam's "press release" states "As mentioned previously, Pearl Jam is expected to announce a host of Fall U.S. tour dates. We anticipate the band's Voodoo performance to be the final show of that series of dates."

My guess is announcement sometime around the single/London/Wrigley about the album release date and tour. I think it will be three weeks in October leading up to Voodoo Fest, east coast/south. Then maybe a week or two off and then west coast from mid-November until the rumored Dec. 6/7 Seattle dates. Hopefully they announce all the shows at once for a change.

If I recall, The Fixer was released mid-July 2009 and we got tour news around the same time. In 2006 the first leg dates came out a week after World Wide Suicide was released. I'd therefore be surprised if we get tour news before the single is officially released.

In both of those cases we had some details (via good RUMINT) about many dates before the official announcements. Unless the "PJ cool kids crew" is keeping this one close to their chests, we know about as much about the tour as Jon Snow does about living free.

There have been rumors on here about Albany, Hartford and Philly. Same old story. First some rumors here, then a leak on a webpage or by a DJ, then the official announcement. It will happen. Think somewhere around 90 days from the tour dates for an official announcement. If its late October, than I agree with others that we wont hear anything until after Wrigley.
