awesome. I hope you are right!~0 -
I'm to the point where I almost don't even care anymore. Either tour or don't. I hate all the misdirection that goes on with this band now. They hype a series of shows built around festivals or gimmicky venues (Wrigley). Just play some damn music! Play smaller venues if you can't sell out arenas anymore.
They don't owe me anything. They don't need to tell us anything. Just stop making it such a secret every time a tour is in the works.Sacramento 10-30-00, Bridge School 10-20 and 10-21-01, Bridge School 10-25 and 10-26-01, Irvine 06-02-03, Irvine 06-03-03, San Diego 06-05-03, San Diego 07-07-06, Los Angeles 07-09-06, Santa Barbara 07-13-06, London UK 06-18-07, San Diego 10-9-09, San Diego 2013, LA 1 20130 -

I was also wondering how moonlander release date 6/25 (?) might effect the tour announcement if at all.
Announce tour before which would generate more site traffic and more people to hear about/be excited for/buy moonlander. Or would this risk moonlander getting buried??
Announce tour after moonlander release to let it have it's moment first.
Probably has no impact on tour announcement :?5/3/92 Omaha, NE

That July date sounds about right. Maybe even a bit later if the dates are mostly in October.primussucks wrote:Supposedly July 8th with album release date as well. But hoping dates come with the email newsletter on June 10.0 -

Yeah... It would make sense from a sales perspective to announce the dates just before London/Wrigley and the release of "Mind Your Manners", when PJ fever reaches it's apex amoungst the fanbase.0 -

Once stadiums/arenas officially sign them and confirm them, I would think dates will leak with local vendor sites.0

As others have said, I think a July announcement a week or two before Wrigley is imminent. It seems the most logical. I firmly believe they will have two legs during this tour - one leg in October that goes through the north east/east coast, a few midwest dates, and then the south which ends in New Orleans in early November. The second leg will then start a week or two after New Orleans and will go through the west and west coast to end in Seattle in early/mid December.
An announcement in July would be 3-4 months out from that tour schedule, which is the norm - and will allow no distractions for Stone's new album release, allow the hype machine to rev up even more, release the first single and possibly new album announcement.....and mostly, drive us all fucking insane.
