I'm a big fan of the soul singers and horns in this album.

I was going to post some of the photos that Joseph has put online from the Currency Of Love video but they're probably not suitable for a family forum! Check out Joe's Tumblr page for them.

I can't get enough of this album, every time I hear it I have a new favourite song. I can't wait for the vinyl to arrive.

What, the painted ladies on the rooftop? Looks awesome, right?! Yes, the album is amazing!

Here is the link to JA's tumblr blog. The photos are there. :)

I've just stopped listening to Boogie Christ for long enough to hear the Cocaine Feet live album from the Pledge campaign. It's really good too. I've only ever seen Joe solo so it's good to hear his songs with a band behind them.

Me too! Joined the pledge a little late, but ordered the autographed vinyl. Been listening to the download and it's awesome!

Haven't said this about an album on the first listen for awhile...but....this is fuckin' awesome. Such a good record! My favorites so far are "All the Old Heroes", "I Miss the Zoo" and "Black Flowers" I was surprised seeing "I Miss the Zoo" on this album as like his last one...but he took it even greater than before.

Joe played the album in its entirety at the Bowery show last night. Fantastic!

I was standing right next to him and didn't think to ask for a picture and now I'm beating myself up over it :P I think I was thrown off by them not having records at the record launch party. Apparently the FedEx truck that was carrying all the goodies got into an accident!

PS: Great article from our very own TFT Jessica! I love the picture. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/ ... ater-video

Latest pledge update for those wondering where the goods are.

HELLO FROM BACKSTAGE AT THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO!
Hello from Backstage at the Tonight Show with Jay Leno!

I thought I’d send out a quick Pledge update to say hi to everyone and I’ve included a little video we took earlier as the band were arriving for the 10AM arrival time.

For those of you wondering, I’ve been signing the Ballad of Boogie Christ CD’s and they have started shipping out so if you’ve ordered one, expect to see it in your mailbox soon!

And today, in fact one hour ago, I signed the Southern Sessions DVD’s that we just received so those will be shipped out today and appearing in your mailboxes as well.

The biggest thing we have been waiting for is the vinyl and I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as it arrives and gets shipped out – both signed and unsigned copies.

Apologies for the delay on anything, times are crazy right now with the record out and US tour in full swing but we’re trying out best to get everything delivered to everyone. I will start doing the lyric sheets in Austin, TX this weekend and we’re hoping to have everything done and shipped by the end of the month.

Here’s some cool news and radio pieces you can check out if you missed em:

Thanks again for all your support and positive energy, the record has been getting great reviews and the tour has been a lot of fun – please keep spreading the word, it really helps and come on out and see a show when I come to your town!

    Sincerely your friend,
    Joseph Arthur

The Philly show was great. Joe's van broke down on the way. Only Joe and his bassist made it to the show. The bass player hopped the drums instead of the bass and they put on a great show. I hope the announce some more tour dates soon.

I got my Southern Sessions dvd in the mail yesterday (haven't had a chance to watch it yet though)

I just saw that the Real World website has the tracklist for Boogie Christ Act II up now
    https://realworldrecords.com/release/619/the-ballad-of-boogie-christ/
    https://realworldrecords.com/store/product/10224/the-ballad-of-boogie-christ-cd-act-1-2/

Blue Lights In The Rear View
    Maybe Yes
    I Am The Witness
    Travel As Equals (Acoustic)
    Holding The Void
    Missy Baba
    Akron Skies
    Soul Sister Slave
    We Began To Dance Again
    Whisper Of Whispers
    House Of Your Love
    In The City

If it's half as good as Act I then there could be 2 Joseph Arthur records at the top of my "Best of 2013" list :D

I haven't seen any news on the signed vinyl being shipped... anyone else see anything about this? Seems to be taking a while; the drive ended a month ago now.
