  • Wish released as cd too. I'm old school, but not really old school.

I was thinking the same. I prefer to listen to CDs in the car and most of my music collection is CD-based.

It would be nice to have both Stone albums sat on the shelf together.

Nice song. Not a huge fan of the vocals though.

No CD release? Not even on a later date?

So happy this is finally coming out, the song-a-week idea is pretty cool too :D

Does anyone remember Stone's songs and videos that were on here about 5 years ago? Both Live, Your Flames and Beyond Measure were available then (along with Little One and Haiti), I wonder how the new versions will sound...

    Your Flames http://youtu.be/_-EZ1x7vQu4

    I love that song :D

Gotta say the first song leaves a lot to be desired. Pretty basic stuff all around especially the lyrics and vocal delivery. Curious to hear the rest though.

I just listened to the first song and I like it. Great riff and the bass sounds perfect (was Stone playing bass?). Could have easily been worked into a song for Pearl Jam.

They MUST do a CD, no?? Surely CDs are cheaper to make & distribute than vinyl.

Isn't Jeff's solo record still available on vinyl? They did CDs of that too.

  • Stone is very environmentally minded so I guess if there isn't a cd it could be because of that. Obviously Vinyl has emissions too but some sacrifices have to be made I guess. It would be great if the vinyl came with a mp3 code a la Subpop. Best of both worlds in that respect.

Although I can't picture Eddie singing "I gotta shake my ass" or whatever it was... Stone, yeah, I can see that. :)

Hope this doesn't delay the PJ album or tour.
I don't see why it would. The tour is already set to end on a certain date, which means they tour is pretty much already booked or being booked now. And the album surely has a schedule now too.

... If "I Need Something Different" is an indication of the rest of this... collection or whatever... I'm kind of glad, because it's not my thing and I won't be spending yet more money on new vinyl.

There's no reason for it delay a Pearl Jam album or tour. This batch of songs Stone has done were recorded between 2003 and 2011.

Well after Johnny Guitar anything is possible! I could see this as a Pearl Jam tune with Ed writing & singing different lyrics.

It's Tuesday! I think it's time for the next new song! :D

I bought United we stand from the shop a while back. It was the US pressing and there was no 7" vinyl with it.
The european pressing of V2 Benelux included a free 7" vinyl.

thanks for your reply, I got a message from BradCorp, stating exactly the same, I was pretty dumb when forgetting about the 7" at the time of purchase... it would be cheaper buying the UK edition than the single by itself...
