That we can agree on!!! I can't stand all these double LPs with only 3 songs per side! SOOOO annoying!

That's why I don't listen to Tripod by Alice In Chains very often... three songs each side... THREE!!!!! even Lost dogs has more songs and it's a triple album for Mike's sake!!! I gotta go, I gotta swim... (It's raining a lot and I have to go out)

It is also like that with the RNDM album, which I still play all the time, but grumble about it every time I have to flip the fucker.

Stone is a boss. Great record, great musician. Not every fucking thing needs to be Pearl Jam. If it is for you, then great, but man are you missing out! 8-)
Definitely not everything has to be PJ (that's nuts). I'm a huge fan of Jeff's side projects, for example.... I just think that Stone's non-PJ work (so far) is legitimately bad (can't stand Brad either). But that's just me. To each their own.

I honestly gave Brad a try, and Stone's solo stuff. I just don't hear the quality. If they didn't know it was Stone, would people really like it? I think there is some blind love going on. I saw Brad open for Band of Horses and they just have no edge, IMO.

Of course people would still like it if it was Stone's solo project. I love Shawn Smith and listen to solo albums as well and love them all.

If people knew it is stone singinig, would they like the album? I don't know, I didn't enjoyed much the first song, loved the second one, liked the third, didn't like much Bayleaf... same happens with PJ, some songs you like more than others, same as records... some people may not know who is Stone or PJ for that matter, they might like it or not, but as it is a PJ member solo album it will have more thrust to hit the airwaves than any new artist, although it doesn't guarantee commercial success...

I liked your flames more than the rest. Haunting, maybe because of the story behind that he shared. I think what Stone Gossard does, ie exposing his artistic pieces one by one and subjecting them weekly to "judgment" is pretty brave for an artist of a career and of achievements like his. And we don't need to like it, and the same goes with everyone including pearl jam. It's just exciting that they all work on something, whatever that is.

Seriously, "Your Flames" is really beautiful. Love it.

'Battle Cry' - not a bad song, probably like this one the best of the bunch.
