this . . .this exactly. We have no idea what this lady has been through or is going through. This argument reminds me of people complaining about others using parking spaces for the disabled, and "yet they look perfectly fine, just as healthy and able-bodied as me." when in reality they may have some cardiac or respiratory disease that is not readily seen. Everybody is so willing to jump on the judgment-passing train, when the details of the situation may be complex and unknown.

Had a shopping cart loaded with steaks, roasts, crab legs, etc.
She paid with food stamps(link card)
She had enough jewelry on her to make Mr. T jealous.
    She had her IPod.
    She had her cell phone.
Then she loaded up her groceries and drove away in this car.

    The horror,

Take me back to the good old days when the poor dressed poor, acted poor, ate poor (if at all), just were, well you know....poor.

The idea of some trying to act above their station, how dare they, back in your boxes prols.....the nerve of them underclass heathens, next they'll be expecting your respect or god forbid, charity.

Those taking advantage of our system are hurting our very poor.
We know there are far too many doing this and this brings distrust from taxpayers
who want to help the poor. When you witness fraud up close and personal it is sickening,
frustrating and angers the most charitable of hearts.

    roasts, steaks & crab legs.

a typical roast let's just say it's a 4-5 pound roast. that is a shit ton of meat. I eat a lot of this myself because one beef or pork roast feeds like a mother. steaks. yum. one badass big ass steak feeds like a mother too.

crab legs are stupid & you starve as you are cracking the fuckin things open. it take 13 fucking hours to eat dinner & requires a pliers or and a mallet. the government should actually feed their poor people gourmet seafood such as lobster claws & crab legs. in 2-3 years we will have eaten every single crab & lobster on earth & we will be the champions once again

Damn those old white people! None of us will ever be one, that's fer sure.

I've found that fat cats are all breeds, creeds, and color. It's the mindset (or content of character, maybe) that's the problem.

But - they are not the *only* problem.

you're right ... exploiters comes from all shapes and sizes and class ... but similar to how wealth is distributed now - you would need to clean up like 10,000 people who are abusing the food stamp or welfare program to make up for 1 guy in DC ... and that's being conservative ...

I have close friends who investigate welfare fraud for a living. The amount of fraud out there is disgusting. In their state alone, they take away food stamps and other benefits from tens of people a day. But like someone said, the laws often tell a person that you'll live a better life being lazy than actually working hard.
It's a shame because it gives the people who really need these benefits a bad name. I'm sure it makes their experience in the waiting rooms pretty shameful too. Those are the people you want to see succeed.

I have not read everything here but has anyone raised the issue that maybe this person is support worker. In my job, i have to go shopping for client who are not able to do things themselves. some of the things that my client ask me for are not the smartest things to buy but you have to buy them as it is there money.

Yes fraud does exist but i don't know if we should be jumping to conclusion on this woman.
